Experience the Ultimate Luxury Getaway at Palace Resorts in Cancun and Playa del Carmen

This month we will continue our look at the Palace Resort chain. We will look at the resorts located in Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Palace Resorts is one of the older chains and the owners have been instrumental in the development of the Cancun and Riviera Maya area of Mexico.

 

The 3 resorts we will look at are the Sun Palace and the Beach Palace resorts in Cancun and the Playacar Palace Resort located in Playa del Carmen.

 

 

The first resort we will look at is the family friendly Beach Palace. Nestled in the heart of Cancun, Beach Palace offers ultimate relaxation combined with endless entertainment. Sandcastle-building, pool days, gourmet dining, and spectacular views are on the itinerary at this all-inclusive luxury resort, perfect for families and couples.

 

Accommodations for this resort include both standard rooms and suites. Beach Palace is all about modern comfort, convenience, and trendy luxury. Our accommodations are private paradises boasting a double whirlpool tub, daily refreshed mini-bar, in-room liquor dispensers, and more. Kick back and ease into beachfront bliss. Standard room start with Superior Deluxe Lagoon View with 1 king bed or 2 double beds sleeping up to 4 guests, the Superior Deluxe Ocean view with 1 king bed or 2 double beds sleeping up to 4 guests. Suites start with the Superior Honeymoon Suite with 1 king bed sleeping 2 guests, the Superior Deluxe Family Suite which is 2 connecting rooms with 1 king bed and 2 double beds sleeping up to 6 guests, then the Superior Governor Suite with 1 king bed sleeping 2 guests, and finally the Superior 2-bedroom Presidential Suite with 1 king bed and 2 double beds sleeping up to 6 guests. All accommodations come with free WIFI, upgraded amenities, and 24 hr. room service.

 

 

Dining at the resort offers 6 dining choices consisting of Pan-Asian, Italian, Mexican, Indian, Smoked meats Grill, and Mediterranean. Don’t forget the 24 hr. room service. Top shelf drinks are served at the rooftop bar, the pool bar, the entertainment bar and the lobby bar. There is also a Coffee and snack bar.

 

Activities are varied between the water and land activities. In the water there is the beautiful Cancun beach and a beautiful pool. There are no resort provided water sports at this resort but there are vendors for parasailing, and jet skis. This is because the water can get quite rough at times. On land there is golf with free greens fees, a great spa, a fitness center, daily pool games, a great kid’s club for kids 4-12, and their new Dreamery for young kids. The best way to explain it is, it is a birthday party all day. There is shopping just a short distance from the resort and the famous Cancun nightlife is a short distance away.

 

This resort is a great family resort on the beautiful Cancun Beach and would fit those families and couples that want a nice upscale resort at a reasonable cost and in a beautiful area.

 

 

The next Palace Resort we will look at is also in Cancun. It is the adults only Sun Palace situated right on the beautiful Cancun main beach. This resort prides itself on over the top service in a quiet romantic environment.

 

Accommodations at this resort are both standard rooms and suites. They start with the Superior Deluxe Ocean View room with king bed or 2 double beds sleeping 2 guests, the Superior Jr Suite Ocean View with 1 king bed sleeping 2 guests, the Superior Honeymoon Suite with king bed and sleeping 2 guests, the 1 bedroom Superior Governor Suite with 1 king bed sleeping 2 guests, and finally the 2 bedroom Ocean View Presidential Suite sleeping 4 guests. All rooms and suites come with free WIFI, upgraded amenities, and 24 hr room service.

 

Dining at the resort consists of 4 options starting with Thai, Latin American, Italian, Mexican. The Mexican restaurant serves an international buffet style during the day. Top shelf alcohol is served at the following bars. First the Lobby bar, the swim-up bar, the Sports bar, the pool bar, and the Coffee/snack bar. Don’t forget the 24 hr room service.

 

Activities begin with relaxing on the beautiful beach or in the large infinity pool. There are a few watersports offered based on the weather and water conditions. Activities abound throughout the resort during the day as well as top notch entertainment at night. The resort is also close to shopping and the Cancun nightlife. Golf is offered including greens fees. Relax in the wonderful spa or get you exercise on in the fitness center. Don’t forget the offsite tours of the Cancun and Riviera Maya area offered by the resort at an extra charge.

 

 

This resort is for relaxing and those that want a higher level of service. We actually had a client who stayed here and was in a wheel chair but wanted to get to the edge of the ocean so the staff carried her in her wheel chair to the ocean and back. A great adult only resort for a very good price and in the action of Cancun.

 

The last resort we will look at this month is the Playacar Palace located in Playa del Carmen. It sits next to the ferry pier where you can catch the ferry to Cozumel. The resort is within walking distance to downtown Play del Carmen and the resort area of Playacar. This family resort is more of a minimalist type of resort but done in a very tasteful way.

 

Accommodations at this resort consist of both standard rooms and suites starting with the Superior Deluxe Partial Ocean View room with either king bed or 2 double beds sleeping up to 4 guests, the Superior Deluxe Ocean View Room with a king bed or 2 double beds sleeping u to 4 guests, we move to the Honeymoon Suite with a king bed sleeping 2 guests, next the Superior Beach walk-out suite with a king bed or 2 double beds, we then move to the 1 bedroom Superior Governor Suite with a king bed sleeping 2 guests, and finally the 2 bedroom Presidential Suite with a king bed and 2 double beds sleeping up to 6 guests. All rooms and suites come with free WIFI, upgraded amenities, and 24 hr room service.

 

 

Dining offers 5 choices plus an international buffet. The A la Carte choices are, Latin American, Pan Asian with Teppanyaki and Sushi, Italian, Yucatan, and Pizza. Top Shelf drinks are served at the Lobby Bar, the Pool Bar, and the Swim-up Bar. Don’t forget 24 hr room service.

 

Activities at the resort include both water and land. In the water there is the beach. The beach is smaller, but water is calm and good for swimming, the pool, and non-motorized water sports like kayaks, sailing and paddleboarding. On land there is shopping and the Playa del Carmen night life, all within walking distance. There is a great spa and a fitness center. There are games all day at the resort and nightly entertainment. Don’t forget the off site tours to man of the Cancun and Riviera Maya areas. The resort is great for weddings with guests of all ages. The resort sits next to the ferry pier for those who want to experience a day trip to the island of Cozumel.

 

 

This resort is great for those who want to be in the action of Playa del Carmen at a smaller upscale resort at a great price.
