This month we are going to take a rest from the AM Resorts as this week brings some news to the travel industry and all inclusive resorts with the announcement that the all inclusive resort chain Palace Resorts has purchased the Italian Hotel and Resort chain, Baglioni Hotels and Resorts with hotels and resorts throughout Italy, in London, and the Maldives. It was announced that this chain would be run by the existing management team and become an extension of Palace Resorts. As far as my research shows these hotels and resorts are not all inclusive but that could change as the Spanish Hotel and Resort chain bought by AM Resorts did. The hotels and resorts are very upscale and rated in the 4 & 5 star level.
A number of all inclusive chains are looking for the next areas in which to expand and it appears to be Europe as the number of new areas in the Caribbean and Mexico dwindle. This month we will look at the resorts owned by the Baglioni Hotels and Resort chain. The resorts are located in 3 areas, 1 in the Maldives and 2 of them in Italy
First up we will look at the resort located in the Maldives. It is the Baglioni Resort Maldives. Lose yourself in the vastness of the Indian Ocean and find yourself again, luxuriating blissfully under a palm tree. This is just one of unique experiences that await you at the Baglioni Resort Maldives. Dreamily resplendent on the island of Maagau in Dhaalu atoll, this remarkable resort is awash with tropical natural beauty.

There is 1 deluxe beach suite with private plunge pool in a very private location accommodating 2 adults and 2 children under 11 or 3 adults and 1 child under 11 with free WIFI and 24 hr. room service.
There is 1 regular beach villa with private plunge pool accommodating 2 adults and 2 children under 11 or 3 adults and 1 child under 11 with free WIFI and 24hr. room service.
Finally, there is the Sunset beach villa with private plunge pool and spectacular sunset views accommodating 2 adults and 2 children under 11 or 3 adults and 1 child under 11 with free WIFI and 24 hr. room service.
As far as dining the resort offers 4 dining choices serving gourmet dishes with a light menu and a kid’s menu. The 4 choices are Italian, Japanese, International fare, a pool bar with light fare all day long. There is the pool bar as well as bars in all the dining options. If you are in a villa with a private pool, you can have a floating breakfast in your pool.
Activities or as the resort calls them experiences center around the water with snorkeling, scuba diving, diving with whale sharks, fishing, boating and exploring, relaxing on the beach, sunset cruise, dolphin tour, a fantastic spa, a gym, movies on the beach, kids club for kids 3-15 with activities, games and educational experiences as well as children’s scuba diving sessions.
This resort is a great resort for those who want a once in a lifetime family or couples experience in a small intimate relaxed environment.
The second Baglioni Resort we will look at is located in Italy and the Puglia region. This region is located along the heel of Italy on the Adriatic coast. It is the Baglioni Masseria Muzza

Next, we look at the Suite category.
It starts with the Deluxe Suite with a double bed and a futon that sleeps 3 guests. There are free WIFIF and 24 hr. room service.

The 2 level Limoni Suite with living room and futon as well as a separate bedroom upstairs with a double bed. Free Wifi and 24 hr. room service.
The Otranto 2 bedroom Suite with large patio sleeping 4 guests. Also free WIFI and 24 room service.
And finally, the Salento Suite 2 bedroom Suite that sleeps 5 and has free WIFI and 24 hr. room service.
All accommodations have Italian Mediterranean décor and architecture and extremely large patios.
The resort offers the following for dining offers four options, each serving a different regional Italian menu. There are Puglia choices, Apulian choices, a restaurant with a light menu and fresh choices, finally a bar menu serving traditional bar food by the pool. Drinks are served at all the dining options.
Activities feature the area and the Adriatic Sea. There are food tours, hiking, horseback riding, E-bike expeditions, boat trips along the Adriatic sea, a great Spa at the resort and a kid’s club for kids 3-12 with indoor activities, educational activities, and play time. The beach is a short distance from the resort and the resort has its own shuttle to and from the beach.
This resort is for people or families who want the full on Italian experience especially the Adriatic sea coast.
The next Baglioni Resort is the Baglioni Sardinia located on the Italian Island of Sardinia. The Baglioni Resort Sardinia, located to the north of San Teodoro, on Sardinia’s dreamy north-east coast, is immersed in a sublime natural landscape without peer in the entire Mediterranean and stands in the Tavolara marine reserve near one of the island’s most beautiful beaches, Lu Impostu. We now move to the Suite category

Next is the Maddalena Sea View Suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms sleeping 6 guests and includes free WIFI, 24 hr. room service, free mini bar, free breakfast, and free arrival gift. It has a roof-top terrace.
The San Pietro Sea View Suite. The Suite has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a large patio and roof-top terrace for spectacular sea views. It sleeps 6 guests, free WIFI, free breakfast, 24 hr. room service, free mini bar, and free arrival gift.
The Roof Top Terrace Suite with 1 bedroom sleeps 4 guests and has a nice patio as well as a roof Top Terrace for great sea views. It comes with free WIFI, free breakfast, free mini bar, and free arrival gift.
The Garden View Suite with 1 bedroom and patio and sleeps 4 guests. It comes with free WIFI, free breakfast and 24 hr. room service.
Lastly, we they have the Sea View Suite with 1 bedroom and sleeps 4 guests. It has free WIFI, free breakfast, and 24 hr. room service.
All accommodations come with up graded amenities.
Dining offers 2 dining choices one of them is a 1 Michelin star gourmet restaurant and one Italian restaurant. They also have pizza night by the pool once a week and Sardinian night once a week serving Sardinian specialties. Drinks are available at the pool bar and all dining options.
Activities at the resort focus on experiencing Sardinia with boating along the coast, visiting vineyards, horseback riding, hiking, sailing, kayaks, tennis, golf, the cuisine of Sardinia, 2 yoga sessions per week at the resort. And just relaxing. Also exploring the Tavolara Marine protected area.
This resort would be great for those who want to explore the beautiful Italian Island of Sardinia at a luxurious resort.
