Dive in to the beauty of Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta at the Dreams All Inclusive Resorts

This month we will begin our tour of the Dreams Resorts located in Mexico. We will start with the Dreams Resorts located on the West Coast or Pacific side of Mexico. They are located in Cabo San Lucas, and the 2 in Puerto Vallarta. One of the Dreams in Puerto Vallarta is the newest Resorts on the Western side of Mexico located just north of Puerto Vallarta in the Punta Mita area. We will begin with the Dreams Resort located in the Cabo San Lucas area.
The resort, the Dreams Los Cabos is located in the corridor area of Los Cabos about halfway between San Jose Del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, about 20 minutes from the airport. It is a AAA 4 Diamond rated family all-inclusive resort surrounded by 8 championship golf courses and on a beautiful beach. It is not your typical cookie cutter resort but is designed in the Mexican Hacienda style. There is something for every age at the resort.
Accommodations at the resort consist of 260 beautiful Jr. Suites and Suites divided into regular and Preferred Club levels. They start with the Jr. Suite Garden View, the Jr. Suite Ocean View, both with one king bed or 2 double beds, the one bedroom Suite Ocean View, and the Family Jr. Suite Ocean View, both with one king bed and pullout sofa. We then move to the Preferred Club level, Dreams Concierge level. They start with the Preferred Club Jr. Suite Ocean View, then the Preferred Club Jr. Suite Ocean Front, both with one king bed or two double beds. We now move to the Suite level starting with the 1,000 sq ft. Preferred Club one bedroom Suite Ocean View with one king or two doubles, then the 1,500 sq ft. Family Preferred Club 2 bedroom ocean front Suite with one king and two double beds. All accommodations come with free WIFI, 24 hr. room service, daily minibar refresh, and upgraded amenities.
Dining options are varied and begin with an International Buffet, a grill, a Coffee Café, as well as 4 A La Carte dining options, which include French, Seafood, Mediterranean, and Steakhouse. As far as drinks the resort has a Music Lounge, a Swim-up Bar, a Lobby Bar, and a Pool Bar. Don’t forget the 24 hr. room service.
Activities include both land and sea options. First understand that the beach in front of the resort is not swimmable but just north of the resort beach is a swimmable beach in a cove. Most beaches in the Cabo area are not swimmable due to the rough water and undertows. As far as water there are 2 pools at the resort plus a number of beach activities such as volleyball relaxing and walking along the beach. On land there are a ton of activities for everyone in the family such as tennis, bocce ball, reduced greens fees at selected golf courses, Kad’s and teen clubs with supervised activities and for the teens places to just hang out. There are outdoor movies, nightly entertainment, Spanish lessons, cooking lessons, and dance classes. There is a fantastic Spa, a wonderful wedding dept. and a great fitness center. There is also the option to go into Cabo San Lucas or San Jose Del Cabo for high level nightlife and shopping. For an extra charge Cabo has some of the best fishing anywhere.
This resort is great for families that want a great upscale resort at a great price in a fantastic location. Just remember that for clients wanting a number of swimmable beaches Cabo may not be the best location for them. There are some swimmable beaches but in Cabo they are few and far between.
The next resort we will look at is the new AAA 4 Diamond Dreams Bahia Mita. This resort sits on a beautiful stretch of beach about an hour north of Puerto Vallarta and just South of the community of Punta Mita. It is also close to the iconic Mexican surf town of Sayulita. The Puerto Vallarta area provides a great old town Mexican experience. This area is kind of secluded at this time, but a number of new resorts are planned for the area. This resort does share space with the Adult only Secrets Bahia Mita which works well for multi-generational vacations and Destinations Weddings with guests of all ages.

The last resort we will look at is the Dreams Vallarta Bay which used to be the Now Vallarta Bay and sits withing walking distance of downtown Puerto Vallarta and 15 minutes from the airport. This AAA 4 Diamond resort sits next to the Secrets Vallarta Bay on a great beach. This is more of a high-rise resort with great views of Banderas Bay.
Accommodations at the resort are made up of two levels, the regular level Jr. Suites and Suites and the Preferred Club level, the resorts concierge level. The regular level has the Jr. Suite Swim-out, and the Jr. Suite Ocean View, each with one king or two double beds. At the Preferred Club level they have, the Preferred Club Jr. Suite Garden View, the Preferred Club Jr Suite Ocean View, and the Preferred Club Jr. Suite Swim-out, and the 1,200 sq. ft. Master Suite Swim-out. All these come with one king or two double beds. Lastly, they have the 1,200 sq. ft. Preferred Club Master Suite Partial Ocean View, and the P1,200 sq. ft. Preferred Club Master Suite Ocean Front. These two categories come with one king bed. All accommodations come with free WIFI, 24. Hr. room service, once a day minibar refresh, and upgraded amenities.
Dining options abound with an International Buffet, a Grill, and a Coffee Bar. There are 4 A La Carte restaurants. The A La Carte choices are, Italian, Mexican, Pan Asian, and Seafood. Bars consist of a Swim-up Bar, a Lobby Bar, a Theater Bar, and a Preferred Club Bar. All Alcohol is top shelf. Don’t forget the 24 hr. room service.
Activities include both water and land options. In the water we have kayaks paddle boarding, snorkeling, and relaxing o the beach. On land there is Tennis, Soccer, Beach Volleyball, seasonal turtle releasing and whale watching, Spanish and Dance classes, cooking classes, nightly entertainment, daily activities and both a kid’s and teen club with supervised activities and a teen hangout. There is a full Fitness center. The fantastic shopping and galleries of Puerto Vallarta are only 5 minutes away. You can take a number of off-site tours from the resort.
This resort is great for clients that want an upscale downtown location on a great beach at a very reasonable price. Because it sits next to the Secrets Resort it is great for Destination weddings with guests of all ages and multigenerational vacations.
