Travel Leaders Network’s International Summit Highlights Growing Destination Investment in the Advisor Channel

Tourism boards partner with North America’s largest travel agency network to reach high-value travelers through Travel Leaders Network’s member advisors

NEW YORK (April 9, 2026) – As destinations compete for high-value international travelers, many are increasing their investment in the travel advisor channel. Travel Leaders Network’s International Summit, held March 14–16 in Tenerife, offered a clear example of how tourism boards are partnering with advisors to drive future visitation.

The annual Summit brought a select group of Travel Leaders Network agency owners and managers to the Spanish island for an immersive destination experience designed to translate firsthand knowledge into future sales.

Unlike traditional conferences, Travel Leaders Network member advisors participate through a competitive application process that requires submitting a marketing plan outlining how they will promote the host destination to their clients once they return home. The approach reflects a growing trend among tourism boards: building deeper partnerships with advisors who influence premium leisure travelers and complex itineraries.

“Tenerife is a spectacular destination that many North American travelers have yet to discover,” said Lindsay Pearlman, President of Travel Leaders Network, North America’s largest travel agency network. “By working closely with our travel advisors and giving them firsthand experience of the destination, Visit Tenerife is helping ensure more travelers will consider the island when planning their next trip.”

During the Summit, advisors explored the destination through curated experiences including whale watching excursions, vineyard visits, cultural tours and exploration of Teide National Park. Business sessions provided destination insights from Visit Tenerife alongside marketing tools and resources from Travel Leaders Network designed to help advisors promote and sell the destination.

“Travel advisors play a key role in introducing North American travelers to destinations they may not yet know,” said Dimple Melwani, CEO, Tenerife Tourism Board. “Strategically partnering with Travel Leaders Network helps us build relationships with top-tier advisors who can inspire travelers to discover Tenerife.”

The partnership reflects Tenerife’s broader engagement with the advisor community. The destination works closely with Travel Leaders Network through participation in key industry events – including the network’s annual EDGE conference and Internova Travel Group’s Destination FOCUS – as well as through the network’s ongoing marketing programs.

For tourism boards, these relationships provide a direct pathway to advisors who influence destination choices every day. For agencies, events like the International Summit highlight the advantages of being part of Travel Leaders Network, including exclusive destination experiences, supplier partner relationships and marketing programs designed to help advisor members grow their business.
