We are proud to ensure that every guest who visits us enjoys their stay at Majestic as an unforgettable experience where comfort, the utmost care, and the best services are always at their disposal. Therefore, we will continue to work every day to be better than the last.”

Billard has sought, since joining the Majestic family in 2013, to make the hotel a benchmark of luxury hospitality locally, nationally and internationally. As graduate of the “Jean Drouant” hotel school in Paris, he began his professional career more than 30 years ago at the “Hotel Sofitel Miami” as an assistant waiter, rising to various management positions in the Food & Beverage division. His professional path has taken him to management positions in many grand cities in iconic establishments such as the Château de Bagnols, the Carlton Hotel in Cannes, the Crillon and Plaza Athénée hotels in Paris, the Sanderson Hotel in London, the Delano Hotel in Miami or the Royalton Hotel in New York.  His international experience and development have provided him with a unique vision of the hotel industry, together with a global multicultural management capacity.

The Beyond Luxury Awards are the first awards designed to recognize the luxury hotel industry in Spain and Portugal. Winners are selected by a professional and independent jury composed of leading experts in the hospitality, tourism, gastronomy, design, luxury and media sectors.

A hotel recognized by the luxury industry

This is not the first time that Majestic has been awarded in these categories. Its Majestic Breakfast Experience was recognized at the 2018 by the Prix Villégiature awards as the best breakfast in Europe for its selection of top-quality products and proximity, always hand in hand with Mediterranean flavors; and its terrace, La Dolce Vitae, was recognized at the 2019 Prix Villégiature awards as the Best Urban Terrace of a Hotel in Europe. Located on the hotel’s rooftop, it features impressive views to the Sagrada Familia, Gaudí’s Casa Batlló, & Jean Nouvel’s Agbar Tower as banners of a unique panoramic view of Barcelona, combined with a fresh and avant-garde menu, always faithful to local and freshly made products.

In addition, Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona has been awarded throughout the year with different recognitions that endorse its tradition and vanguard within the luxury sector. For instance, it has been declared one of the most exclusive hotels in the world by the prestigious U.S. magazine Travel + Leisure Best 500 Hotels in The World, one of the most important lists in the tourism industry. It recently received the Villégiature 2022 Award for the best suite in the world in honor of The Majestic Royal Penthouse.
