Hotel Xcaret Mexico Operates in Perfect Conditions after Hurricane Delta

The 900-suite hotel continues to welcome guests as facilities have not experienced any damages after Hurricane Delta.

Riviera Maya, Mexico, October 8, 2020 – Since its early days, Hotel Xcaret Mexico has taken pride into ensuring the well-being and safety of its guests, members of Mexico Destination Club and collaborators, and the sudden arrival of Hurricane Delta was no exception. In preparation for the arrival of the hurricane, which made landfall in Quintana Roo on October 6, the 900-suite hotel – which has revolutionized the industry with its All-Fun Inclusive® concept – worked hand in hand with federal and local authorities to implement all the necessary precautions to keep everyone safe. This united effort resulted in a very positive outcome as the hotel experienced no damages or incidents after the passing of the hurricane.

As the meteorological phenomenon made its way towards the Yucatan Peninsula, guests of Hotel Xcaret Mexico were able to safely stay onsite at the property’s Convention Center, which is a shelter certified by Mexican authorities, making an evacuation unnecessary and allowing guests to enjoy an uninterrupted stay. After the passing of the hurricane, the oceanfront property continues its regular operation allowing visitors to enjoy the facilities in compliance with the 360° Xafety protocols that Grupo Xcaret implemented since June 15.

“For Grupo Xcaret and Hotel Xcaret Mexico safety is paramount. We took all the necessary measures to safeguard our guests, members of Mexico Destination Club and collaborators during the passing of Hurricane Delta through the state. Fortunately, the hurricane has moved away from our destination with no damages and has allowed us to recover our regular operation. I would like to thank all the guests, members of Mexico Destination Club and collaborators for their commitment and for responding to the measures implemented by local authorities. This joint effort allowed us to properly prepare for the natural phenomenon as we continue to provide the excellent service that our guests enjoy in every visit” said Francisco Gutiérrez, CEO of Xcaret Hotels.

Restaurants and common areas at the AAA Five Diamond hotel have reopened following the security protocols and Xiquillos Club is already operating on its usual schedule from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. Grupo Xcaret also informed that parks and tours, one of the perks of the All-Fun Inclusive® concept of Hotel Xcaret Mexico, are officially open for visitors and are operating its regular hours.

Additionally, Hotel Xcaret Mexico has updated its hurricane reservation policies which apply to reservations during Hurricane Delta to offer flexibility and no penalties for date changes, cancellations, no shows and early departures with the objective of providing guests and members of Mexico Destination Club with options to comfortably accommodate their stays.

Cancun International Airport has officially resumed operations and will continue to regain its regular schedule throughout the week.
