From Sea to Spotlight: Windstar Shines at the Special Awards Presentation During Latin GRAMMY Week
Windstar Cruises stepped onto the red carpet in Las Vegas on November 9th, returning as an official sponsor for the second year of the Special Awards Presentation kicking-off Latin GRAMMY Week—bringing its signature blend of relaxed luxury and unexpected moments to the heart of the celebration.
In a sea of stars, five Windstar “crew members” made their way through the crowd in full uniform—to deliver invitations. Guests at the Special Awards Presentation received elegant boarding pass–style tickets featuring a QR code to a special offer on select voyages: pay for one guest, and the second guest travels complimentary in the same stateroom. A little surprise, 180 degrees from ordinary®.
Why the Special Awards Presentation?
Many of the cruise line’s most beloved voyages sail through Latin America—from Costa Rica’s wild coastline to the music-filled shores of San Juan, Puerto Rico. It’s a region that moves to its own rhythm—and so does Windstar. Because like Windstar, Special Awards Presentation celebrates connection and culture.
This same spirit extends beyond travel, reflected in Windstar’s dedication to the arts and to fostering creativity in every form. From their partnership with the James Beard Foundation in the culinary world to Miami’s Fountainhead Arts in visual arts and Windstar EQ in the equestrian realm, Windstar continues to champion diverse expressions of artistry, culture, and human connection.

For four decades, Windstar Cruises has been reimagining small-ship cruising with a distinctive blend of relaxed luxury and genuine connection to the world’s most captivating destinations. From its origins with motor sailing yachts tailored for upscale yet casual travel, Windstar has grown into a diverse fleet of three Star Class all-suite yachts and three Wind Class sailing yachts, offering voyages that are both intimate and inspiring. Two highly anticipated new yachts, Star Seeker and Star Explorer, set to debut in December 2025 and 2026, expand the fleet to eight yachts accommodating 150-350 guests. Windstar’s legendary Wind Class sailing yachts are also undergoing a meticulous two-phase redesign to be completed by 2027. Windstar yachts sail to more than 330 ports across Europe, the Caribbean, Costa Rica and the Panama Canal, Alaska, Canada and New England, Japan, the South Pacific, and Asia. Unlike most cruise lines, Windstar sails year-round in the Mediterranean and Tahiti, offering different destination experiences seasonally. Each Windstar voyage is designed to immerse guests in authentic cultural experiences, all while delivering the comfort, service, and style that define the Windstar difference.
