7th August 2018 – Holidaymakers looking to explore the delights of Iceland and Greenland can benefit from free door-to-door transfers up to 90 miles on five selected scenic itineraries next year, as Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines releases its ‘Lands of Fire & Fjords of Ice’ brochure. To enjoy the benefits of this free door-to-door offer, with limited availability, guests must book one of the selected cruises by 31st August 2018 inclusive.
Guests can choose to visit the ancient ruins of Hvalsey Norse, cruise past one of the ‘10 Wonders of the Arctic’ – the Tasermiut Fjord – in Greenland, or discover the Paradise Island, near Ísafjörður in Iceland, on a holiday that starts without the hassle of driving or arranging transport to / from the UK departure port.
Guests will also be able to enjoy exclusive excursions on Fred. Olsen’s newly-installed Rigid Inflatable Boats (‘RIBs’), at an extra charge. These new RIBs, with a capacity of up to 12 guests each, specialise in giving an ‘off the beaten tourist track’ experience, and enable guests to gain a real immersion into the destination.
Clare Ward, Director of Product and Customer Service for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:
“Our Iceland and Greenland itineraries are always extremely popular, but we just wanted to add an extra incentive to those wishing to join us next year. We know that, for our guests, the holiday begins when they shut their front door, and what better way to start it than by losing the hassle of making your own way to the port?
“While on board, guests will also have the chance to immerse themselves in the exceptional destinations that are Iceland and Greenland, on one of our RIB excursions. It really is an experience not to be missed! These new RIBs are being installed across Fred. Olsen’s entire ocean fleet, and form the latest commitment to helping to bring the world ‘closer’ to our guests.”
