Among the resort’s 11 dining options is El Mexicano, which gives guests a taste of true Mexican culture through its vibrant and colorful décor, traditional flavors and catchy sounds of contemporary Mexican music. With the collaboration of the restaurant’s chef Jonathan Salinas and the talented restaurant staff, the menu was also enhanced improved while staying true to original recipes that use authentic ingredients to provide the highest quality of Mexican cuisine. The contemporary presentation of each dish is carefully crafted using unique garnishes with a creative touch. The most representative dish on the menu is the Costillar de Res, or rib of beef, cooked in its juices and served with a freshly made guajillo chili sauce and garnished with an avocado leaf for aroma. The Costillar de Res pairs perfectly with the special hibiscus margarita.
The restaurant’s warm, welcoming atmosphere and décor aligns with the Mexican-accented theme. Tunes of traditional live music fill the air and the colorfully decorated walls and vibrant décor make for a true cultural experience perfect for couples, friends and family gatherings.
Additional renovated dining areas include La Cenaduria, the Lobby Bar, the Sushi Bar, and La Cevicheria – another guest favorite. With its beautiful beachside location overlooking the turquoise water, La Cevicheria is a popular venue that offers Caribbean fusion cuisine with highlights from the best of Mexico with specialty dishes such as the famous Aguachile de Sinaloa seafood syrup, shrimp cocktails, and the shrimp and fish tacos, a big hit amongst guests that often gets featured on their social media sites.
