At Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona, Christmas is along-awaited occasion where everyone’s holiday dreams come true. The hotel welcomes international guests from around the world to sip and dine to one of the most special dining experiences with a series of carefully curated menus that will guide you through the flavors of the land, sea and the setting that surrounds them.

Always faithful to their farm-to-table concept and under direction of the hotel’s chef consultant [Michelin Star Nandu Jubany] and executive chef [David Romero], this year Majestic offers a unique gastronomic sharing experience with the best company, ready to delight the palates under the emblem of the highest quality and care, with an innovative and avant-garde touch. Each event will surprise even the most distinctive palates and delight all members with unparalleled luxury.

 

Christmas Eve Dinner

When/ Where: Christmas Eve dinner will be served at SOLC Restaurant from 8:00 PM until 10:30 PM.

 

The Menu: The evening begins with appetizers that bring together the best ingredients of the area. Crispy nori seaweed cornet filled with salmon tartar and tobiko; Cow’s tail croquette; mini mollete of octopus and pork jowl; and Bouillabaisse soup of fish and other seafood. After this first experience, follow the main courses, with duck galantine and free-range chicken with pistachios, black trumpet mushrooms, foie gras and oloroso jelly; and flounder with roast juice, celery and black truffle. The dinner is crowned with the sweet touch of Selva Negra’s Christmas Log (a chocolate cake), along with Nougat and wafers with whipped cream.

Cost: The dinner, along with the wine pairing, is priced at €125 per person.

 

Christmas Brunch

When/ Where: After a morning of gifts, it’s time to dine at Majestic’s Restaurant SOLC and enjoy its traditional Christmas Gourmet Brunch.

 

The Menu: This year the menu offers all kinds of creations and flavors that open the palate with a varied selection of appetizers, such as the Tartar of scallop with lime, soy and sesame; air baguette with pastrami; and Gilda of cod, anchovy and sweet peppers. Next, guests will be delighted with the flavors of Delta oyster, Galician razor clams, red shrimp and Delta prawns; and Christmas terrine of octopus with duck foie gras and ratafia gelatin. The culinary journey continues to awaken the appetite with a small marmite of crab cream and saffron croutons; sea bass in a puff pastry crust and Chorón sauce; and mini veal tournedos with Café de Paris. The final touch is provided by the selection of varied desserts selected for the occasion, such as Jean Marie Hiblot chocolate and hazelnut tart; Christmas log; lemon tartlet; vanilla and caramel millefeuille; our cookies; torrija with caramel; and nougat and wafers with whipped cream.

Cost: 135€ per person including wine cellar.

 

St. Stephen’s Day lunch

When/ Where: On December 26, the celebrations continue with the traditional St. Stephen’s Day lunch, a unique lunch at SOLC Restaurant.

 

The Menu: The selection of appetizers begins with cockles, mussels, anchovies, anchovies in vinegar and olives; Croquette of crab and spider crab; Coca bread with pastrami and old mustard; and Escudella barrejada with ball and galets. The main courses include the truffled organic chicken cannelloni from San Esteban and monkfish with prawns and mushrooms with Iberian ham. To finish, the delicacy of Banoffee; creamy caramel, banana cake and vanilla mousse; and nougat and wafers with whipped cream.

 

For the pairing of each of these dishes, Majestic offers a selection of white wines (AA Cau d’en Genís Cuvée Majestic 2021, Alella), red wines (Orbus Cuvée Majestic 2016, Alella), Cava Mirgin Gran Reserva Cuvée Majestic 2016, Alella; as well as water and coffee. In addition, diners can choose to celebrate with a bottle of Moët & Chandon for a separate fee of €40.

Cost: The meal, wine cellar included, is priced at 120€ per person.

 

New Year’s Eve Dinner

The year ends best surrounded by the spirit that makes Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona such a special venue. This is reflected in its two culinary creations to welcome the new year and enjoy every detail of the freshest and most natural ingredients.

 

When/ Where: The first luxury event takes place in the Salón Mediterráneo from 8:30 PM to 3:00 AM and will be livened up once midnight arrives with a live musical performance and DJ.

 

The Menu: Attendees will start the evening with Iberian ham Carrasco Acorn knife cut, to continue with Macaron of duck foie gras and smoked eel; Steak tartare made of organic cow from Lleida; and steam bread with butter and black truffle. After this first presentation of flavors, the main courses arrive with monkfish roast beef in puff pastry with leeks, saffron mayonnaise and Oscietra caviar; charcoal-grilled turbot with artichoke pil-pil; and Pallars beef sirloin bordelaise and parmentier with Garrotxa blue cheese. The evening is sealed with chocolate mousse, hazelnut praline and caramel Guanaja, and chocolate tree with nougat, neulas and petits fours of San Silvestre. The dinner is priced at €385 per person and will be paired with Champagne (Ruinart Brut A.O.C. Champagne and Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Magnum Brut A.O.C. Champagne), white wine (AA Cau d’en Genís Cuvée Majestic 2021, Alella), red wine (Roda Reserva 2017, La Rioja), as well as water, coffee, cotillion and, of course, the lucky grapes.

 

For those who choose to enjoy the last night of the year at SOLC Restaurant, will try the magnificent hot Delta Oysters with cava sabayon to work up an appetite. The starters continue with Carrasco acorn-fed Iberian ham and duck foie gras; and knife-cut acorn-fed ham and foie gras terrine from the Empordá with sourdough bread toasted in a charcoal oven, in the case of the land; and Delta elvers with pil-pil of tender garlic and broken chick’s egg. Next, the flavors reach their peak with Ragoût of langoustines from Vilanova with small vegetables and Chardonnay wine sauce; Supreme of wild sea bass with veil of Oscietra caviar and white butter sauce; and Beef tenderloin from ”’El Capricho”’ with black truffle from Vic. Since there is no better finishing touch to an unforgettable evening than a sweet treat, diners will enjoy the creation of Gold and cocoa (Cacao Komuntu 80% and gold leaf), as well as Petits fours with Bourbon and Tahitian vanilla.

 

The Cost: This option is priced at 585€ per person and is accompanied by Champagne (Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Magnum Brut A.O.C.; and Dom Pérignon Brut A.O. C), White Wine (Belondrade and Lurton Magnum 2020 DO Rueda; Olivier Leflaive Meursault 2018 AOC Côte de Beaune, Bourgogne), Red Wine (Vega Sicilia Valbuena 5º 2008 D.O. Ribera del Duero; and Alta Alella Dolç Mataró D.O. Alella), as well as water, coffee, cotillion and lucky grapes. In this case, the evening can also continue in the Salón Mediterráneo to celebrate the beginning of the new year.
