World Travel Protection (WTP), a leading risk management provider owned by Zurich Insurance Group, is strengthening operations around the globe with the appointments of two talented executives to key leadership roles. Jermaine Grant has joined the company in the role of Executive Vice President of Operations, North America, and Mark Panturescu has been promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer.
In his new role, Jermaine will oversee WTP’s growing operations in North America, including a dedicated Toronto-based Command Center, providing travelers with 24-hour access to specialized services in travel safety, travel assistance, health and emergency medical services (EMS), including evacuation or repatriation. As CFO, Mark will assume responsibility for all aspects of WTP’s financial operations.
“I am thrilled to welcome these accomplished executives to their new positions. Both bring visionary leadership and deep experience in the sector, and I look forward to working with them,” says World Travel Protection CEO Adrian Leach. “World Travel Protection is continuing to experience tremendous growth as we navigate the heightened risks of a post-pandemic world, and with these appointments, we are confident in our ability to achieve our strategic goals and deliver exceptional value to clients.”
Jermaine’s experience includes over a decade of leadership positions in assistance operations, including as Head of Global Operations at International SOS (MedAire and TRICARE), where he led a cross-functional team of over 100 members, delivering complex remote medical and security assistance services. More recently, as Director of Operations at Triwest Healthcare, he successfully launched four large call centers, in four separate locations, each with a team of over 250 people.
Mark has been an integral part of WTP for the past 12 years and is currently serving in his second leadership role with the company. In his previous role as General Manager of Operations, Mark successfully balanced service-level agreements with profitability, while also developing accurate forecasting models and pricing strategies across multiple products and services.
With multiple Command Centers around the globe, World Travel Protection provides 24-hour emergency assistance to travelers via medical, security, and operations experts, as well as world-class technology.
