See outfits and items from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in a special new exhibit
BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 1, 2018 – The eyes of the entire world were on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during their fairy tale spring wedding at Windsor Castle. Harry looked resplendent in his frock coat military uniform, and Meghan positively glowed in her off-the-shoulder Givenchy gown as they said their vows and rode through the town of Windsor in an elegant carriage.
If you’re obsessed with royal wedding attire – or even merely curious – you won’t want to miss the limited-time exhibition now appearing at Windsor Castle called ‘Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.’ Open through January 6, 2019, the exhibit displays the actual wedding garb worn by Harry and Meghan – including Meghan’s tiara and 16-foot veil – as well as the outfits worn by little Prince George and Princess Charlotte in their roles as pageboy and bridesmaid. Displayed in the Grand Reception room, the items appear alongside the beautiful group wedding photos that were taken in the very same room on May 19, 2018.
Evan Evans Tours, one of the UK’s oldest sightseeing companies, offers two fantastic tours that allow guests to visit Windsor Castle and see the Royal Wedding exhibition. These fully guided day tours depart from London and combine admission to the magnificent castle with other must-see destinations including mysterious Stonehenge, beautiful Bath, and historic Oxford:
Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath: Discover three of England’s national treasures on this full-day tour, including two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Step inside Windsor Castle and see the magnificent State Apartments, furnished with some of the finest works of art from the Royal Collection, and visit St. George’s Chapel, where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot. At Stonehenge, tour the visitor center to learn about the history and artifacts found at the site, then take a peek inside the Neolithic houses before strolling around the stones themselves. Enjoy a panoramic coach drive through the beautiful Georgian town of Bath, then visit the namesake Roman baths where the naturally warm spring is still in operation after more than 2,000 years.
Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Oxford: This tour visits Windsor Castle and Stonehenge as in the previous tour, but also stops at the most famous university city in the world. Steeped in history, replete with stunning architecture, and bursting with medieval charm, Oxford was home to legendary figures such as Isaac Newton, Oscar Wilde, Margaret Thatcher, and Stephen Hawking. On this tour visitors enjoy a guided walk through the town’s picturesque cobbled alleyways and experience the famous Bridge of Sighs, the hallowed halls of Trinity College, the treasures of the Ashmolean Museum and the exquisite Sheldonian Theatre.
