Ultimate All Inclusive – Secrets Resorts in Huatulco and Cozumel Mexico

As we continue our look at the AM Resorts adult only resorts, we will look at the remaining Ultimate All Inclusive Secrets resort on the West Coast, the Secrets Huatulco and we will begin our review of the Secrets Resorts on the East Coast, the Secrets the Vine in Cancun and the Secrets Aura Cozumel.

We will start with a look at our last remaining Ultimate All Inclusive – Secrets Resort, the Secrets Huatulco Resort and Spa, located in Huatulco Mexico about 300 miles south of Acapulco. This area is a very nice more remote area of Mexico known for its 7 bays which are accessed by boat. It is also in the center of the area of Mexico known for its silver production, Oaxaca. The only area of concern may be its lack of airlift to the destination. This resort is a AAA 4 Diamond rated resort sitting on a beautiful private bay.

The accommodations at the resort consist of 399 rooms and suites starting with the Ocean View Jr. Suite with whirlpool on the patio and then on to the Jr. Suite Ocean Front. We then move on to the Preferred Club Level, Secrets Concierge Level. Here we start with the Preferred Club Ocean Front Jr. Suite, then the Preferred Club Jr Suite Swim-out, we move on to the 1.000 sq. ft. Preferred Club 1 bedroom Swim-out Suite, and finally the 1,700 sq ft. 2 level Presidential Suite. Ultimate All Inclusive Accommodations come with either 1 king bed or 2 Double beds, free WIFI, upgraded amenities, and 24 hr. room service.

Dining at the resort includes 1 International Buffet and 6 A La Carte Restaurants as well as a grill and a Coffee snack Bar. The A La Carte Dining options consist of French, Steakhouse, Italian, Seafood, Pan Asian, and Mexican. As far as drinks the offerings are a pool and beach bar, a Music Bar, a Swim-up Bar, a Lobby Bar, a Theater Bar, an open air Lounge Bar, and a Poolside Bar. There is also 24 hr. Room service and romantic Beachside private dining.

Activities start with 2 pools and a beautiful beach, and as multitude of water ad land activities. On land there are daily activities, meet the chefs’ cooking demonstrations, Tennis, beach volleyball, nightly entertainment, on the beach movies, theme nights and beach parties as well as off site tours to the 7 bays by boat, explore the Oaxaca area and the town of Huatulco. On the water there is kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, sailing, exploring hidden beaches, fishing, or just relaxing by the pools or on the beach.

This is a great AAA 4 Diamond adult only Ultimate All Inclusive for those that want to relax in an off the beaten path area with no crowds and a great history. It prices well. The only minor concern would be the airlift to the area.

Next, we will move to the island of Cozumel for our next review of the Ultimate All Inclusive – Secrets Aura Cozumel, This resort was a Wyndham Resort before it was completely renovated and rebranded as a Secrets resort in 2012. Escape into luxury at Secrets Aura Cozumel. As far as activities there are both land and ocean choices. Cozumel is known for its Snorkeling and Scuba Diving and the resort has a PADI Dive Center on the property. The dive boat leaves right from the resort pier. The resort sits on a fantastic white sand beach. There are 3 pools on the property. This resort is a must for those into Scuba Diving and Snorkeling and a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of the mainland. It is priced well. Don’t forget you can fly directly into Cozumel. You can fly into Cancun, but it is a little more complicated getting to Cozumel by getting transportation to Playa Del Carmen and then taking the ferry to the island.

This great high-rise Secrets Resort sits on the main hotel strip of Cancun in a location that affords easy access to the shopping, nightlife, and beach of Cancun. Most water activities such and jet skis and parasailing are available on the beach at an extra charge. The water can be a little rough for kayaks or paddleboards. The beach is great for walking and people watching. Don’t forget to experience the shopping and nightlife that Cancun is famous for. You can take any off-site tours to most tourist areas directly from the resort.

This resort is great for those clients who want a nice upscale sophisticated resort in the Cancun Resort area at a good price to take advantage of the shopping and nightlife of the Cancun Hotel zone as well as relaxing at the resort.
