TruTravels Welcomes Back Travelers as First Tour Back Departs in Croatia

Social adventure specialist runs first trip in 500 days, offers 30% off October 2021 tours

Smiles, sun and sand – that’s what was on the itinerary last month as TruTravels welcomed its first travelers back on the road after more than 500 days as the youth-travel and social adventure specialist kicked off its relaunched European tours with an 11-day sailing and land adventure in Croatia. The Croatia Sail & Explore saw 25 excited travelers join the tour to island hop in Croatia by land and sea.

Starting and ending in Split, travelers boarded their own private yacht to embark on an adventure along the Croatian coast, docking in hotspots such as Dubrovnik and Hvar. Days were spent swimming in coves, enjoying ‘floatilla’ boat parties and visiting UNESCO world heritage sites such as Mljet National Park and Plitvice Lakes, while nights included exploring local towns like Korcula and lapping up the nightlife in Hvar.

Mark Pope, co-founder of TruTravels says it’s been energizing to see travelers back on tour enjoying great social adventures once again, and with up to 30% off October 2021 departures he hopes to fill the remaining tours for the late-summer season.

“At TruTravels, we love delivering awesome experiences to our travelers and seeing beautiful connections that are created on our trips. Seeing our first group of travellers head back out in the world was so rewarding and gave a huge boost to all the TruTravels family.

“The feedback we’ve received has been incredible – it’s clear that as more young travelers are becoming double vaccinated, they’re hungrier than ever to get back on the road, meet new people and explore new places. With more trips coming up in October, we’re also offering great deals for last minute summer getaways,” says Pope.

Croatia Sailing options include:

  • Croatia Sailing Adventure – From beach days and ice cold beers to bike rides and historical hotspots, this eight-day sailing trip has it all. Starting in Split, travelers will sail south to Dubrovnik, stopping to swim in the sea at Brac Island, explore Mljet National Park and party until the sun comes up in Hvar. Save 30% – priced from $878.50pp* (usually $1,255pp) for an eight-day trip departing on October 16, 2021.

  • Croatia Sail & Explore –  For travelers looking for the best of both worlds, this 11-day land and sea trip combines sailing and sunsets with adventure and action. Hopping aboard their own boat, which will be home for the next week, travellers will island hop around the stunning Croatian coastline, exploring by sea before stepping onto dry land to enjoy an epic road trip. Visiting Krka National park, days will be spent visiting waterfalls, sleeping in lakeside huts and partying on beaches. Priced from $1,890pp for an 11-day trip departing in summer 2022.

About TruTravels

Based in the United Kingdom, TruTravels was co-founded by entrepreneurs Joe Fallon and Mark Pope in 2012 after an epic backpacking trip that made them quickly realize corporate office life just wasn’t their jam. Together, they kick-started TruTravels to provide life-changing, small group travel experiences, specifically tailored for backpackers and young adults. TruTravels’ youthful, laid back and fun-filled approach to group travel is designed to make travellers feel like they are on holiday with a bunch of mates, where one of them ‘just happens to know where they are going’. TruTravels’ mission is to use travel as a force for good to benefit all involved – their customers, local communities, suppliers, and ‘TruCrew’ team of staff and tour guides. In December 2018, TruTravels was welcomed to the G Adventures family of travel brands.
