Traveltek’s Chief Marketing Officer raised the trophy for ‘Europe’s Leading Travel Technology Provider 2019’ for the third year in a row on behalf of the East Kilbride-based company at the World Travel Awards in Madeira this weekend.
Glasgow, 10th June 2019: The award recognises the company’s predominance in the field of travel technology within Europe. The World Travel Awards (WTA) has been celebrating excellence within the travel and tourism industry for 26 years and this accolade represents a further jewel in an increasingly heavy crown for Traveltek, who has also been acknowledged globally as the ‘World’s Leading Dynamic Packaging Solutions Provider’ for the last five consecutive years.
Traveltek Portfolio
A glance at the company’s impressive portfolio of sophisticated travel technology easily explains its successive wins. Traveltek’s range of finely-tuned products includes integrated booking solutions, consumer facing websites, mid-office and CRM systems, a tour operating platform, and an API that connects a global database of over 300 leading travel suppliers. All of which helps their global clients to work smarter, improve their bottom line and enhance customer experience and retention.
Traveltek is also the industry’s leading provider of cruise booking solutions, empowering the trade to hand-pick every component of a customised cruise itinerary and sell it as one package. Using Traveltek’s specially developed platform, agents can access consolidated cruise content from 190 of the world’s leading lines and dynamically package them with pre- and post-cruise travel itineraries.
Traveltek Travels Further
Yet resting on its laurels doesn’t feature in any part of Traveltek’s strategy. Its stated mission is to transform the way the leisure travel industry does business by equipping bookers with the world’s most advanced reservation and distribution platform available on the market. To that end, the company is currently investing heavily in its core platform as Susie Lawler, Chief Marketing Officer, explained to TV5MONDE on picking up the award:
“The focus at HQ at the moment is very much on improving our flagship product. iSell has been recognised by WTA as the leading dynamic packaging platform for the last five years and we’re extremely proud of that. But, as we all know, there’s no standing still in tech.
“Our development team have produced an ambitious product roadmap which will see the entire product suite upgraded over the next 12 months. These enhancements will improve speed, functionality and UX across the system. And, of course, we’ll be adding in some new features along the way too; all things aimed at ensuring our clients are using the best, most up to date tech available.
“The majority of new orders that come in now include website builds, so we’ve invested time and resource there too. We’re currently working to move all our search journeys on to a new component-based platform which allows for much faster deployment, dramatically reducing our delivery time. It also provides a clear upgrade path for future features, ensuring we stay at the forefront of what we do.
“We’ve been hinting at the launch of a new innovation for a while now too. It’s another industry first from the brains back at HQ and I’m happy to report that launch is now imminent. So, there’s a lot going on this year and it’s wonderful to receive this reward which recognises the continued and tireless hard work of the team.”
All of which explains why Traveltek continues on its trail-blazing and award-winning path, including nomination for a possible 6th trophy as the “World’s Leading Dynamic Packaging Solutions Provider” in the Grand Final Gala Ceremony in Muscat in November. The Traveltek team has its fingers crossed that, coupled with its European hat trick, it might score a treble treble in travel technology!
