Sun Sentinel Names World Travel Holdings A Winner of the South Florida Top Workplaces Award

Ninth consecutive time recognized for innovative employee engagement programs

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. (May 9, 2023)World Travel Holdings, the nation’s largest cruise agency and award-winning leisure travel company, has been named a winner of the South Florida Top Workplaces 2023 award by the Sun Sentinel. This marks the company’s ninth consecutive win since the inception of the awards program and the only employer to be named to this elite list every year.

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes automatically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

Employee Engagement is a cornerstone of World Travel Holdings’ culture initiatives and every department within the company plays a role. The company’s Human Resources Directors partner with each area of the business to set forth goals based on engagement survey results. World Travel Holdings characterizes engagement as more than impressive benefits. It is about caring more, prioritizing the well-being of its employees and providing opportunities for growth.

“We are thrilled to receive this award and to be recognized as a top workplace in South Florida,” said Loren Kennedy, senior vice president of Human Resources of World Travel Holdings. “Our success is due in large part to our employees, who work tirelessly to deliver exceptional experiences for our customers. We are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and engaging work environment, and we look forward to continuing to build on our culture of excellence.”

The award is based on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The survey measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution, and connection.

World Travel Holdings has made a significant jump in the rankings, moving up from #50 in 2022 to #34 in its category for the South Florida Top Workplaces 2023 award by the Sun Sentinel. The company’s ninth consecutive win in the awards program reflects its commitment to fostering a positive work environment.
