MIAMI, FLA. (September 25, 2018) – Palace Resorts – the company that sets the standard in five-star, all-inclusive resort accommodations–Moon Palace Jamaica, announced its continued investment in the education of Jamaican youth with the unveiling of its academic scholarship program. During the award ceremony, 29 full time and part time students were awarded academic scholarships in order to help foster the importance of education.
The Honorable Shahine Robinson MP, along with distinguished guests, families of award recipients, and Moon Palace Resort Executives, gathered at the Gondola Restaurant at Moon Palace Jamaica, Ocho Rios, to honor the Palace Foundation at its third annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony.

The changing global environment demands that we continue to educate our people if we are to remain relevant, and Moon Palace is making a significant contribution to these efforts.”

Reader went on to congratulate the recipients and urge them to think about how they will use this scholarship program to develop themselves, and in turn, make a positive contribution to Jamaica.
The education program helps expand the lives of financially challenged youth in Jamaica by facilitating scholarships and providing them with a comprehensive education based on solid values and strong principles. Already, the Palace Foundation has donated more than $3M dollars in cash contributions towards its 2018 scholarship recipients. Schools impacted include: University of the Commonwealth Caribbean, University of Technology, University of the West Indies, International University of the Caribbean, Moneague, Northern Caribbean University, School of Paramedic Studies, Caribbean Maritime University, and Sigma School of Nursing.
