A Riviera dining icon arrives on Antigua’s west coast for a two-month residency
November 20, 2025 (St. Mary’s, Antigua) — Hermitage Bay, a beautiful and intimate resort located on the western side of Antigua, is pleased to announce a limited-edition culinary collaboration with La Petite Maison, the acclaimed Mediterranean restaurant from Nice. Beginning December 1, 2025, the resort will host a two-month pop-up from the iconic Riviera institution, offering guests and local visitors a refined new dining experience on the island’s west coast. The pop-up runs through January 31, 2026.
Following its multi-million-dollar transformation and reopening in October 2024, Hermitage Bay has continued to elevate its culinary program as part of its renewed vision under owner Daniel Shamoon of Luxury Hotels Partners. The arrival of La Petite Maison marks the resort’s most ambitious culinary partnership to date, further positioning Hermitage Bay as a leading destination for gastronomy in the Caribbean.
Located on 140 secluded acres of tropical gardens and a protected natural bay, Hermitage Bay is known for its restored villa suites, wellness-led programming, and an atmosphere defined by Caribbean warmth and understated luxury. Enhancements across the property include a reimagined all-day restaurant, a new Beach Club, and the Tree Bar, set beneath the canopy of an ancient tree. The resort’s philosophy is guided by the principle of Ubuntu (“I am because you are”), which shapes its highly personalized service and connection to place.
The collaboration brings the founders of La Petite Maison — Nicole Rubi and her daughter Anne-Laure — to Antigua for their first Caribbean residency. Originating in Nice’s old town, La Petite Maison has been celebrated for more than 30 years for its market-driven Mediterranean cuisine, lively ambiance, and commitment to simplicity and generosity. The brand’s expansion to Palm Beach Cannes and now Hermitage Bay reflects a continued evolution rooted in authenticity. La Petite Maison will also open at Hermitage Bay’s sister property, Puente Romano Marbella, in winter 2026.
The partnership is supported by DB Group, led by David Barokas, known for creating destinations such as La Guérite, Palm Beach, Medusa, and Shellona. Together, the team will bring the signature flavors and conviviality of La Petite Maison to Hermitage Bay in a custom-designed beach-front setting overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
Guests will enjoy a selection of La Petite Maison’s signature dishes such as escargots, truffle rigatoni, and entrecôte grillée, crafted with a blend of local Antiguan produce. Lunch will be served daily from 12:30 pm, accompanied by local musicians and a guest guitarist from Marbella, Spain.
Guests on Hermitage Bay’s All-Inclusive plan will enjoy a curated set menu featuring two to three starters, two to three entrées, and included beverages. Guests on the B&B plan, as well as non-residents, may dine à la carte. The pop-up will open to the public by reservation only, with a launch celebration for local partners during the week of December 1st.
This collaboration underscores Hermitage Bay’s ongoing commitment to distinctive culinary programming and to showcasing global talent through experiences that complement the resort’s natural beauty and quiet sophistication.
