CruiseWorld: Fueling Growth, Networking, and Knowledge Expansion

Unleashing Opportunities at CruiseWorld – The Must-Attend Event for Travel Professionals

Written By: Catherine Shaw, Director of Marketing and Content – CruiseWorld

In today’s ever-evolving travel industry, travel professionals strive to stay ahead by continuously expanding their knowledge, networking with industry peers, and pursuing training and certification programs. This year’s CruiseWorld, scheduled November 1–3 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL, will offer abundant opportunities for travel professionals to do just that and more.

The official CruiseWorld program includes three full days of workshops, training and certification programs, an Exhibitor Showcase, and general sessions featuring leaders from every facet of the travel industry.

One of the highlights of this year’s CruiseWorld is ship tours, offering travel advisors a unique chance to tour the newest ships on the water. Ship tours are available on October 31st, November 4th and 5th and feature the following vessels: Caribbean Princess, Carnival Horizon, Celebrity Summit, MSC Seascape, Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas, Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas, Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas, and Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady.

Returning to CruiseWorld are the acclaimed Peer-to-Peer Sessions. Designed to foster knowledge sharing and collaboration, these sessions cover a wide range of topics including accessible travel, branding, recruitment, working with DMCs, group cruises, succession planning, and more. With advisor veterans leading these discussions, attendees can expect to gain invaluable insights and practical strategies to elevate their businesses.

The signature one-day Exhibitor Showcase will be held on Thursday, November 2, featuring companies representing diverse segments of the travel industry, such as airlines, attractions, business tools, car rental, cruise, destinations, host agencies, consortia, and franchises, hotels and resorts, professional services, tour operators, and packaged vacations. This Showcase provides an excellent opportunity for networking, discovering new products and services, and establishing valuable partnerships. Suppliers interested in joining the Exhibitor Showcase should contact Emmy Morales at emorales@travelweekly.com.

This year’s general sessions promise to be equally captivating, offering attendees the chance to hear from industry leaders, including cruise line CEOs, presidents, sales and marketing executives, and more. These sessions will provide insights into the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the industry. Additionally, travel agency leaders will deliver thought-provoking eight-minute TW Talks, packed with valuable thought leadership to empower and inspire travel advisors.

Sponsored workshops will be held on Wednesday and Thursday. Advisors will hear the latest updates and offerings from suppliers such as: Alaska – Visit Anchorage, Carnival Corporation & plc, Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Scenic and Emerald Cruises, Majestic Resorts, Passport Online, Royal Caribbean, Sandals, VAX Vacation Access, Virgin Voyages, and Windstar Cruises. Princess will also hold a celebratory closing reception for advisors on Friday afternoon following the closing General Session.

Another noteworthy component of CruiseWorld is the STAR (Select Travel Advisor Recognition) Program. This program, aimed at supporting the professional development and growth of the travel advisor community, will help fund attendance for up to 200 of the over 800 travel advisor attendees at CruiseWorld. Due to increased demand, the STAR Program has reached capacity for this year, underscoring its popularity and value. Interested attendees are encouraged to apply early to secure their spots early for future events.

CruiseWorld’s robust agenda provides value for all types of travel advisors, from home-based professionals to cruise-centered advisors, seasoned veterans, and those new to the industry. Register today and receive $25 off the current registration price by using code HBTA at checkout.

It’s important to note that the team from Travel Professional News plays an integral part in the CruiseWorld program. Joanie Ogg will be leading breakout sessions and participating in the Exhibitor Showcase.
