Avianca Recognized as Central and South America’s Favorite Airline in 2025 Flyers’ Choice Awards
MIAMI, AUGUST 25, 2025— Avianca has been named the favorite airline in Central and South America in the 2025 Flyers’ Choice Awards, a global initiative by AirlineRatings.com, the world’s leading airline safety and product rating website. Unlike other industry awards based on technical evaluations, these honors are determined solely by travelers worldwide, who voted for their favorite airlines in each region.
Avianca ranked first among airlines in Central and South America, a result that reflects passengers’ trust in a company that has strengthened its market position through a comprehensive offering of route network, service, and product.
“The Central and South American market is highly competitive, so Avianca’s first-place ranking reflects its well-established track record of delivering quality service and an all-inclusive onboard product,” said Sharon Petersen, CEO of AirlineRatings.com.
Avianca CEO Frederico Pedreira said: “This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes directly from our travelers. It shows that our efforts to offer a flexible travel experience — one that adapts to each customer’s needs — are delivering real value. Thank you to every traveler who chose us and to every team member who made it possible. We will continue working with the same dedication to live up to that trust every single day.”
This recognition adds to Avianca’s recent achievements — including a “Highly Commended” award for its Insignia by Avianca menu in the Best Onboard Menu or Meal category at the latest edition of the Onboard Hospitality Awards.
