ARC Announced as 2020 ASTA Technology & Transaction Partner of the Year

ARC Honored for Third Straight Year

ARLINGTON, Va. – August 26, 2020 – Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC) today celebrates its selection as the 2020 Technology & Transaction Partner of the Year, awarded by the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA). Voted on by ASTA members, the award recognizes both individuals and organizations who make lasting contributions to the industry and support the travel advisor community.

Throughout 2020, ARC has helped travel advisors navigate the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 global pandemic. When the pandemic caused refunds to exceed sales in March, ARC worked quickly to adjust its settlement processes and ensure timely, consistent payments to travel agencies. Since then, ARC has processed more than $1 billion in cash refunds. To help the travel community better manage this complex and rapidly changing environment, ARC also developed resources for advisors to assist their work with credit card brands and airlines to manage exchanges, refunds disputes and chargebacks.

In the latter part of 2019, ARC unveiled several tools to help agencies. These included ARC Risk Check, a fraud prevention platform that helps small and midsize travel agencies validate customer purchases. ARC also incorporated Agency BI into its new, cloud-based data analytics platform, giving agencies access to larger volumes of current and forward-looking data with increased flexibility.

“It is an unbelievable honor to be selected by ASTA for this award for the third year in a row,” said ARC President & CEO Mike Premo. “In the face of 2020’s challenges, the travel advisor community has once again proven that it is resilient, creative and dedicated to supporting travelers. I am extremely proud of the solutions ARC’s team has delivered to ensure advisors have the tools they need to navigate this uncertain time. I am thrilled to celebrate this achievement with our employees and ASTA members.”

The award was presented during ASTA Global Live!, which took place virtually in place of the ASTA Global Convention, ASTA’s annual meeting for travel advisors and industry leaders. For more information on the event, visit the ASTA Global Live! website.
