ARC and Avianca Implement NDC with ARC Direct Connect

Innovative Solution Will Help Avianca Expand Content Offerings in Latin America

ARLINGTON, Va. – September 19, 2023 – Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC) has finalized Avianca’s New Distribution Capability (NDC) implementation with the ARC Direct Connect program. The partnership enables Avianca to offer robust content and detailed information through its booking platforms for corporate travel buyers and travel agencies while providing a consistent settlement experience through ARC’s trusted platform.

Through ARC Direct Connect, Avianca will expand its reach into the Puerto Rican market and allow more passengers to take advantage of Avianca’s network, which is one of the largest in Latin America.

“As Avianca’s distribution strategy evolved, we needed an NDC solution that allows us to meet the needs of our customers,” said Rolando Damas, Avianca’s sales director for North America, Central America and the Caribbean. “ARC Direct Connect enables us to offer a consistent shopping experience across channels while leading to more personalized traveler bookings.”

“We’re thrilled to help Avianca transform how they communicate with travel agencies and travel managers,” said Paige Blunt, senior manager of Direct Connect and ONE Order at ARC. “ARC Direct Connect will help differentiate Avianca’s products and allow access to content previously only available in the airline’s direct channel.”

ARC Direct Connect allows airlines to implement distribution strategies with NDC that best suit their needs and manage travel agency partnerships. Visit the ARC Direct Connect webpage for more information.
