American Marketing Group Launches KORE, a New-to-Industry Training Program that Aims to Create Strong Travel Professionals

Oyster Bay, NY (November 9, 2021):  The American Marketing Group, parent company of TRAVELSAVERS and NEST, today announced the creation of a new comprehensive training program targeted to those new to the industry who are looking for the accreditation to start them on the path to become a successful Travel Advisor. The 16-module course called KORE’sNew To Travel Industry Training was created with help from the Travel Institute, Allianz Partners, travel advisors and legal counsel who know what is essential to cover on a wide variety of topics that focus on a deeper level of education, business training and selling skills.

“For many years, we saw a need in the industry to target new and younger demographics who were interested in travel, and we feel this program will be critical to creating strong professionals in this career path,” said Kathryn Mazza-Burney, Chief Sales Officer. “While this program was originally built for new to industry, we have found a great interest from existing agencies who needed continuing education for their travel managers and even owners.”

KORE CURRICULUM

KORE’S New To Travel Industry Training, 100% online, provides guidance and training in critical areas that travel professionals need to prosper in this rapidly changing industry. KORE will also teach them how to be profitable business owners. The curriculum includes: an overview of the industry and travel segments, industry players, basic financials, world geography, building a travel career and more. In addition, several modules focus on the art of selling, customer service, qualifying a client, niche travel, social media and communication, industry compliance and fraud, understanding travel insurance and more. For example, in the Art of Selling module, the Sales Funnel chapter details the path from awareness to action and then drills down the steps to convert a lead into a champion client.

In addition to the 16 online modules, there are also two digital textbooks and three correlated workbooks to aid the students, plus extensive online videos focused on real work experience. KORE is expected to take 14-18 weeks to complete with quizzes along the way culminating in a final Travel Agent Proficiency proctored exam. Successful graduates of the course will be eligible for KORE credits as well as certification from the Travel Institute.

LAUNCH TO AMG MEMBER AGENCIES

KORE, led by Steve Philips, Senior Director Education and Training, is currently in beta test with select advisors from TRAVELSAVERS and NEST. All advisors who are involved in the program were very pleased with the content and will provide additional feedback on the entire experience. “KORE is the solution to ensuring my advisors are properly trained,” said Heather DiPietro, CEO of TravelSalesGroup in Mooresville, NC. “With this program, I’m 100% positive that my new advisors will be fully prepared for success.”

The company has announced the program exclusively to their U.S. agency members at this time and will release it industry wide in 2022. Plans are also underway to develop additional educational programs under the KORE brand.

“This initial program will be critical to our members to deliver potential employees,” said Steve Philips. “We are excited to find and bring new, educated advisors into the industry for our travel agency partners looking to expand their individual advisor community.”
