AmaWaterways Appoints Strategic Leadership Roles to Support Rapid Growth
Executive appointments support financial excellence, fleet innovation, and strategic growth as AmaWaterways expands its global footprint
CALABASAS, CA – AmaWaterways today announced the appointments of Quinby Dobbins as Chief Financial Officer and Stefano Negro as Vice President of New Build and Maintenance. The leadership additions support AmaWaterways’ next phase of fleet growth and long-term operational scaling, reinforcing capital discipline and ship lifecycle performance as it expands its global presence.
Quinby Dobbins joins AmaWaterways with more than 25 years of global finance and transformation experience. Most recently serving as SVP of Corporate Finance & Treasury at Carnival Corporation, Ms. Dobbins led major capital and refinancing initiatives during a period of unprecedented industry disruption. Prior to that, she was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, advising clients on M&A activity, governance, and complex accounting matters.
“I’m excited to join AmaWaterways at such a dynamic moment in the company’s evolution,” said Ms. Dobbins. “AmaWaterways has built a phenomenal brand rooted in exceptional experiences and genuine hospitality, and I look forward to supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy as it continues expanding its fleet and global presence.”
In her role as CFO, Ms. Dobbins will oversee AmaWaterways’ financial strategy and capital allocation, bringing decades of expertise in capital markets, financial transformation, and long-term value creation.
AmaWaterways also welcomed Stefano Negro as Vice President of New Build and Maintenance. Trained as a Naval Architect and Marine Engineer, Mr. Negro began his career with leading Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri before joining Carnival Corporation’s shipbuilding team, where he spent nearly a decade supporting new project development and shipbuilding initiatives across the company’s portfolio of brands.
“It’s incredibly inspiring to join a company so deeply committed to innovation and delivering elevated guest experiences,” said Mr. Negro.
“As AmaWaterways continues to evolve its fleet, I’m excited to bring innovative ideas and sustainable solutions to life, creating ships that feel even more immersive, experiential, and connected to the destinations they sail through.”
Based in the UK, Mr. Negro will lead AmaWaterways’ new build and maintenance strategy, advancing the company’s fleet performance, sustainability initiatives, and a consistently elevated guest experience.
“These appointments underscore our continued focus and investment in the future of AmaWaterways,” said Catherine Powell. “Quinby and Stefano each bring deep expertise in their respective fields, and their leadership will play an important role as we continue strengthening our operations, expanding our fleet, and enhancing the guest experience.”
