Allianz Partners Offers Annual Travel Insurance for Alaska Airlines Flight Pass

Richmond, VA, September 30, 2024Allianz Partners USA, a global leader in travel insurance and travel assistance, has partnered with Alaska Airlines to offer new subscribers to the airline’s monthly Flight Pass subscription service, with annual Allianz Partners travel protection plans. New Flight Pass subscribers will have the option to purchase one of two annual travel protection plans offered by Allianz Partners when they subscribe to Flight Pass. The annual travel protection plans may include “pre-departure” benefits which can cover non-refundable travel deposits when a customer must cancel their trip for a reason covered by their plan, and “post-departure” benefits such as trip interruption and emergency medical, depending on the plan selected.

Alaska Airlines Flight Pass is a monthly subscription service where guests have the option to purchase 6-12 roundtrip flights that cover 17 destinations in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. New Flight Pass subscribers will have the option to purchase either a Basic or Deluxe annual travel protection plan offered by Allianz Partners when they subscribe to Alaska Airlines Flight Pass.

The Allianz Partners Basic protection annual plan offers annual post-departure benefits for covered travel delays, baggage delay or loss, and medical emergencies.  The Allianz Partners Deluxe protection annual plan provides similar benefits and provides up to $3,000 in trip cancellation protection and $3,000 in trip interruption protection.* Trip cancellation protection can provide reimbursement for prepaid, non-refundable travel costs, including air fare, lodging, rental cars and other prepaid expenses when a trip is canceled for a covered reason, up to the limit of coverage. Trip interruption protection can provide reimbursement for unused non-refundable prepaid expenses as well as additional expenses for last minute lodging and transportation when a trip is interrupted due to a reason covered in the plan.

Both plans provide up to $20,000 for emergency medical care and up to $100,000 for emergency medical transportation.

“Our subscribers value the flexibility and affordability of Flight Pass, and travel protection from Allianz Partners can make their travel experience even more seamless,” said Courtney Lansing, managing director of business development and products at Alaska Airlines. “We’re proud to offer a unique service that enables guests to visit loved ones or their favorite destinations, all while securing a consistent monthly price on an airline that offers the most nonstop flights on the West Coast.”

For a limited time, new and current subscribers to Alaska Airlines Flight Pass can enjoy a free one-year subscription to Alaska Access, typically priced at $60 annually. Alaska Access offers additional perks, including a monthly Wi-Fi voucher, early access to some of the airline’s biggest fare sales of the year and a personalized fare page to help you book the best seat for the best price.
