The wild, wide and wonderful sites of these countries are calling travelers back and this new season’s offerings cement South Australia as the next hot international destination. The trips focus again on the places, stories and tastes of Australia – from incredible landscapes, to food and drink that immerses guests into the destination, stories from local people and the unexpected experiences, AAT Kings invites guests to embark on a new adventure.

The new 4-day Outback Explorer: Uluru to Adelaide
Clients will have the opportunity to connect with living cultural landscapes and absorb the beauty of sacred lands. They will start their journey in Uluru and witness its majesty with awe-inspiring sunrises and sunsets. Onwards, they cross from the Northern Territory into South Australia to visit the opal capital of the world – Coober Pedy with its stunning lunar landscape and natural wonders. This iconic outback town houses many of its inhabitants underground and famous dugouts which served as the backdrop for the post-apocalyptic movie, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. Guests will visit Port Augusta, known as “Kurdnatta” in its Indigenous name, translating to “the place of drifting sand and stroll along the scenic coastline. They will time travel back to the era of dinosaurs as they visit the Wadlata Outback Centre before travelling to some of Australia’s best wine country in Adelaide. Savour award-winning Riesling at Knappstein Wines set in Clare Valley.
The new 5-day Adelaide to Kangaroo Island tour
A favorite destination for foodies and culture lovers, this trip kicks off in Adelaide, home to delicious local produce and only a short drive away from orchards, vineyards and cheesemongers. Considered one of the best islands in the world, Kangaroo Island is next on the list, full of untamed landscape and native wildlife for clients to embrace its pristine beauty. They will meet Mike, who will host them at the one-of-a-kind Kangaroo Island Brewery, where all beers are made using rainwater from a shed top. The next excursion is reserved for wilderness exploration before indulging in a two-course lunch at Vivonne Bay Bistro, serving unexpected treats full of Ligurian bee honey – the only place in Australia they will experience this. Guests will learn about Islander Estate Vineyard wines over a few glasses and the wonderful viticultural conditions of this region. Lavender lovers will delight at the 10 varieties of flowers they will explore at the Emu Bay Lavender Farm. They can purchase their therapeutic souvenirs at Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, offering essential oils, body creams, honey, soaps and more.
The new 7-day South Australian Eyre Peninsula
This unforgettable South Australia journey starts with an Eyre Peninsula tour, full of premier wines and gourmet seafood to treat guests’ tastebuds. They will enjoy the turquoise lagoons, pink lakes and abundant wildlife. On to Kimba in Streaky Bay, a town established for pioneering back in 1915, where they can view innovative art displays of murals painted on the town’s silos. Clients will embark on a coastal scenic drive and enjoy the turquoise water before indulging in a seafood fest on a cruise around the Bay. For nature and wildlife lovers, an excursion to the only place on mainland where clients can observe seal pups at Point Labatt Conservation Park. They can view the 1500-million-year-old pink granite boulders at Murphy’s Haystacks and honeycomb-patterned rocks at Talia Caves. At the right place and time, guests can spot dolphins at Coffin Bay, before an oyster farm tour and another round of seafood indulgence. Off-grid organic orchards and gardens awaits on a Wild Yarnbala tour where they will explore Indigenous culture and experience bush food, while listening to a didgeridoo performance. They will cruise the gulf to Wallaroo the next day to see the Bumbunga Pink Lake.
