This month we will review the last 3 Secrets Resorts. They are located in the Riviera Maya area of Mexico. They are the Secrets Akumal, Secrets Maroma Beach, And Secrets Riviera Cancun. These are the final 3 Secrets Resorts in the AM Resorts Secrets chain.
The first one we will look at is the Secrets Riviera Cancun. This used to be the Preferred Club section of the Breathless Resort so now the complex holds the Breathless Resort and the Secrets Riviera Cancun Resort. This makes sense because the Preferred Club section of the Breathless was the quiet section. It sits on a beautiful stretch of beach with the ability to walk forever. Guests do have access to the Breathless Resort next door, but the Secrets is like a private quiet sanctuary that you can retreat to. There is enough separation that the activities at the Breathless resort do not impose on the tranquility of the Secrets Resort.
Accommodations at the Secrets Riviera Cancun consist of all Preferred Club level Jr. Suites and Suites starting with the Preferred Club Jr Suite Tropical View, the Preferred Club Jr Suite Ocean View, Preferred Club Jr Suite Swim-out Tropical View, Preferred Club Jr Suite Ocean Front, Preferred Club Jr Suite Swim-out Ocean Front, 1,076 sq. ft. Preferred Club Master Suite Ocean View, 1,076 sq. ft. Preferred Club Master Suite, Preferred Club Master Suite Swim-out Tropical View, 1,076 Sq Ft Preferred Club Master Suite Ocean Front, and the 1,600 Sq. Ft. Ocean front Presidential Suite. All Suites and Jr Suites come with Preferred Club amenities, up-graded room amenities, free WIFI, and 24 hr. room service. All Accommodations except the Master Suites come with 1 king bed, or 2 Double Beds. Master Suites only come with 1 King bed.
Dining options offer a large variety with an International Buffet and 8 A La Carte Restaurants including, a Grill, Tapas, French, Mexican, Gourmet, Pan-Asian, Italian, Steak, and a Café serving Premium Coffee and light snacks. Bars are plentiful with a Sports bar and Night Club, Swim-up Bar, Champaign Bar, Oceanside Bar, Preferred Club Bar, Theater Bar, Poolside Bar, and Lobby Bar. Don’t forget there is also 24 hr. Room Service. There are no reservations required at any of the dining options.
As far as activities, there are many, both in the water and on the land. Starting in the water they have a beautiful pool and also access to pools at the Breathless Resort, Paddle boarding, snorkeling, Sailing, kayaks, Windsurfing, and relaxing on the beautiful Beach. On land there is golf with free Greens Fees, Horseshoes, Corn Hole, Volleyball, Yoga, Fitness Center, A great Spa, Zumba classes, Cooking Classes, Tequila and Wine tasting, and Nightly Entertainment.
This resort is for those that want a great up-scale Resort but may want to party on some nights but want a quiet up-scale place to return to and recharge. This Resort is a great AAA 4 Diamond rated Resort, and it prices well.
The next resort we will look at is the beautiful Secrets Akumal. Escape into luxury at Secrets Akumal. Ideally located in the heart of the Riviera Maya along the famed white-sand Akumal beach, the resort fuses elegant and original design with elements of nature. With a Mayan name meaning “place of the turtle,” this AAA Four Diamond resort is renowned for its beautiful beach, calm Caribbean waters and green sea turtle population – making it an oasis for snorkeling. Accommodations at this resort include all Preferred Club Jr. Suites and Suites starting with the Preferred Club Jr. Suite Tropical View, then the Preferred Club Jr Suite Ocean View, The Preferred Club Jr. Suite Swim-up Ocean View, Preferred Club Jr. Suite Ocean Front. Next, we move to the Suite Level with the 1.200 sq. ft. Preferred club Romantic Master Suite Ocean View, the 1,200 sq. ft. Romantic Master Suite Ocean Front, and finally the 3,500 sq. ft. Ocean Front Presidential Suite. All Accommodations come with the Preferred Club amenities, free WIFI, upgraded room amenities, and 24 hr. Room Service.
Dining options include an International Buffet and 6 A La Carte Restaurants with, a Grill, French, Mexican, Seafood, Italian, and Pan Asian. Bars include a Pool and Beach Bar, a Music Bar, a Sports Bar, a Swim-up Bar, a Lobby Bar, and a Theater Bar. Don’t forget the 24 hr. Room Service. There are no reservations required at any of the dining options.
Activities at the resort include both water and land activities. One of the unique activities include swimming and snorkeling with the sea turtles that are plentiful on the reef just off the beach. There are also 3 heated pools, and a variety of non-motorized water sport. On land there are Bike Tours, Tennis, wine tasting, Spanish lessons, a Fitness Center, a Beautiful Spa, and a wonderful Wedding Dept. There is a wide variety of off site tours to explore the area.
This resort is a great resort for those that want a beautiful upscale resort experience with unique activities at a reasonable price.
The last resort we are going to look at is the beautiful established Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Maya. This resort sits on one of the best beaches in the Riviera Maya. We then go to the Preferred Club level accommodations with the Preferred Club Jr. Suite Ocean View, the Preferred Club Jr. Suite Swim-out, the Preferred Club Jr. Suite Ocean Front, the 1,249 sq. ft. Preferred Club Honeymoon Suite, and finally the 1,843 sq. ft. Presidential Suite. All accommodations come with free WIFI, upgraded amenities, and 24 hr. Room Service. Preferred Club level comes with the Preferred Club amenities.

Activities abound in the water and on land. In the water they have 2 expansive pools with pool concierge and waiter service. Other water activities include sailing, Kayaks, and other non-motorized water sports. The beach is one of the best in the Riviera Maya. On land there is Tennis, Taco making class, Wine and paint sessions, archery, and a wide variety of daily activities. If you want, you can do nothing but relax and enjoy the fantastic beach. There is also a great Fitness Center, a fantastic Spa, and a wonderful Wedding Dept.
This AAA 5 Diamond Resort is one of the best romantic Resorts in Mexico It is great for Destination Weddings and Honeymoons. It prices very well for a 5 star resort.
