Barcelona, Spain – June 5, 2019 – After commemorating its 100th anniversary last year in style, Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona is celebrating yet again – this time, with the reopening of its trendy rooftop terrace – regarded as one of Europe’s best, La Dolce Vitae. Led by renowned architect and interior designer Antonio Obrador, the emblematic space has been updated with sleek furniture, a wider bar serving an updated menu of refreshing cocktails and a redesign to make the space more inviting and comfortable while maintaining the swimming pool as its central element.
The terrace design conveys a sense of luxury and coziness that allows guests to enjoy views of the city’s remarkable landmarks, including its most popular, Sagrada Familia. Thanks to Clavisa, a company specializing in the cultivation of cactus and succulent plants, the new and improved space is complete with elegant details including a vertical garden, the hotel’s trademark, a feature that has become consistent throughout the five-star luxury hotel, also seen in its penthouse terraces and at its farm-to-table concept restaurant, SOLC.

At La Dolce Vitae, spectacular views and an inviting atmosphere, are served with a renewed menu that includes fresh flavors, unique ingredients and high-quality products, curated by the hotel’s gastronomic advisor and Michelin-Star Chef Nandu Jubany and Executive Chef David Romero. Updated for the summer season, items boast international faire elevated with Catalan and Mediterranean influences. Examples include a selection of the freshestCan Met vegetables, Balfego bluefin tuna tartare paired with avocado and wasabi, organic roast beef with toast and pickles or a delicious selection of local artisanal cheeses. Guests can enjoy several dessert options while overlooking the city’s skyline including the Ferrero Rocher and Nutella XXL ice-cream sandwich.
Majestic Sunset Sessions 2019 & ‘Rosée Sunset BBQ’
The hotel is also excited to announce the return of Majestic Sunset Sessions for another season, welcoming resident DJ Carlos U-Soul to bring the atmosphere to life in the evenings from June to September. On weekends, DJ U-Soul will share the booth with some internationally renowned DJ’s including: Kiko Navarro (June 7, July 26 and Sept. 6), Angel Moraes (June 21), Jean-Jérôme Dupuy (July 5), Alex Finkin (Aug. 2), Jordi Carreras (Aug. 23) and César Melero (Sept. 20).
Beginning June 9th, from 7 to 10 p.m., the trendy rooftop will also be home to a brand-new offer, the Rosée Sunset BBQ, where guests can indulge on tasteful dishes cooked to perfection in an elegant Josper oven. Menu items include prawns from Barceloneta, chicken and grilled T-Bone paired with the award-winning rose wine M De Minuty.
