Mexico City, MX (November 8, 2018) – La Colección Resorts by Fiesta Americana, Posadas’ prestigious collection of distinctive resorts located in Mexico’s most desired destinations, announces the official opening of Live Aqua Urban Resort San Miguel de Allende, it’s first Live Aqua property in the award-winning destination and the 5th for the brand in Mexico. The tone is set upon arrival when guests approach the hacienda-style building, draped in green vines and bougainvillea, via cobblestone street. An enormous bronze sculpture, the Cabeza Vainilla created by local Mexican artist Javier Marin, sits next to a small fountain, welcoming everyone in the courtyard before they enter through massive double wooden doors. Once inside, guests will first be enticed by the scent of freshly baked bread as they walk passed the charming bakery into the discreet lobby area. The resort was developed by award-winning AoMa Estudio, based in Mexico City, that took inspiration from San Miguel de Allende by bringing in both small and large details from the city’s culture and colonial architecture such as plazas, gardens and patios, as well as is vast array of textures and shapes.

Boasting sleek and modern interiors, Live Aqua Urban Resort’s 153 handsomely appointed guestrooms, including seven suites, offer guests comfortable and spacious stays with spectacular views of the city. The design melds textures and earth tones of light wood floors, exposed brick ceilings, wooden headboards, handcrafted iron lighting, and more. Other details capture guests’ attention such as framed photography by local artists and a working vintage record player.
