Zurich Cover-More Announces Jeffrey C. Rutledge’s Decision to Retire

February 26, 2026: Zurich Cover-More announced today the early retirement of Jeffrey C. Rutledge, CEO of the Travel Guard companies, effective March 1, 2026.

As a global leader passionate about travel as a force for good, Jeff led AIG Travel and its Travel Guard subsidiaries as CEO for nearly 20 years, growing it into one of the most recognized and desirable global travel insurance and assistance services franchises in the world. Zurich acquired AIG’s Personal Travel Insurance business in December 2024.

“It has truly been an honor to work with the Travel Guard team and our incredible global partners over many years,” Jeff reflected, “and to see the franchise now become a part of the Zurich Cover-More family.”

Chris Vink, CEO Zurich Cover-More, said, “We appreciate Jeff’s dedicated and vital leadership to ensure a seamless transition of Travel Guard into Zurich Cover-More, and wish him every success as he begins this next chapter.”
