Where’s Maxwell? Can You Find VAX VacationAccess’ Flippered Friend?

Join the Hunt for Maxwell: VAX VacationAccess’ Penguin Mascot Brings Fun, Learning, and Prizes to Travel Advisors

Written By: Jenna Buege, senior editor – VAX VacationAccess

If you’re active on VAX VacationAccess, you might have noticed Maxwell, a stylish traveling penguin who doubles as the brand’s mascot. Outfitted with a flashy pair of red sunglasses and a distinguished orange beak, Maxwell is ever-present across the VAX marketplace with eagle-eyed advisors recognizing him from marketing campaigns, social media and even The Compass magazine in which he has a recurring department titled “Ask Maxwell” where he answers common VAX FAQs.

Just like the rest of the team, Maxwell is dedicated to helping travel pros succeed, and thanks to a new initiative on the site called “Where’s Maxwell,” advisors can have some fun and learn something new about VAX in the process when they join the hunt for their new flippered friend. So, dust off your detective hat and get in on the action, who knows, you might even win some seriously sweet prizes if you crack the case.

How It Works

Ever the playful penguin, Maxwell has a pesky habit of hiding in new locations across the VAX marketplace. From the homepage of The Compass and the site’s recently revamped destination pages to the Offers & Incentives tab and beyond, you never know where he might be. To make sure he’s staying out of trouble, the VAX team has invited advisors to help track the mischievous bird down, searching for Maxwell in a new location somewhere on the site each month. To play, simply navigate to the “Education” tab on VAX’s main menu and select “Maxwell’s Monthly Contest.” From here, we’ll be brought to the corresponding landing page where you can scroll down to read a hint or two before embarking on your search.

As a reward for their hard work, participants who find Maxwell — and submit a screenshot as evidence — will be entered to win a monthly prize. They’ll also receive a shareable social media image so they can tell their friends that they’re basically a detective now. But the fun doesn’t stop there, as the cherry on top, the VAX team is throwing in a bonus prize, with the winning advisor being treated to a free subscription to The Compass magazine if they aren’t already on the mailing list.

More Maxwell

Want more feathered fun? As mentioned above, advisors can find Maxwell across the VAX marketplace. For a handy list of resources, including CRMs and marketing tools, check out Maxwell’s List, VAX’s take on an online directory curated specifically for travel pros to help you learn and do more. Speaking of learning, don’t forget to check out Ask Maxwell in The Compass magazine to hear Maxwell’s take on some of the advisors’ burning questions about VAX. From insider advice on upgrading flight seating to webinar know-how, this department is a compilation of VAX users’ most-asked questions, whether they arrive in our inbox or are posed while we’re on the road.
