Villa Eyrie Resort Joins Small Luxury Hotels of The World as its First British Columbia Property

Villa Eyrie Resort is the first hotel in British Columbia to join the prestigious group, only 5% of applicants meet the rigorous standards.

British Columbia, February 28, 2019: Villa Eyrie Resort, the alpine inspired property perched high above a magnificent mountain summit, today announced their acceptance into the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World group, after passing a rigorous acceptance program. The resort will now be part of an international network of 520 international properties. Members are independently operated hotels that must meet the highest possible quality standards; only 5% of the thousands of hotels that apply every year are accepted.

According to General Manager, Alexander Fischer-Jean, Villa Eyrie Resort will be a great fit with the other properties in the collection. “Our guests appreciate staying in a breathtaking setting in the heart of beautiful Vancouver Island. However, what sets us apart is the experiences only available to our guests. This year we will introduce an entirely refreshed food and beverage product, reimagined by our Michelin star trained executive chef Mario Gross, talented German pastry chef Matthias Conradi and Director of Food and Beverage Chef Ryan Bissell. In addition, we are developing a package that grants Villa Eyrie guests to visit an otherwise private facility, Coachwerks Restoration, for an exclusive tour of the 30,000 square foot restoration house featuring pre and post-war European sports and luxury cars.”
