Viking Cruises Announces Lucky Travel Agent Winner Of Million Dollar Challenge

$1 Million Check Presentation Culminates Travel Trade’s Largest-Ever Promotion of its Kind

Los Angeles (April 25, 2017) – Viking Cruises® (www.vikingcruises.com) announced the winner of its “Viking Million Dollar Voyage” promotion for the travel trade. The Challenge, called “Your Ship Has Come In: Viking Million Dollar Voyage,” was the travel industry’s largest-ever promotion of its kind and qualified travel agents who sell Viking’s river or ocean cruises to have the opportunity to enter the Challenge to win $1 million. The Challenge ran from October 17, 2016 through March 31, 2017 and included more than 20,000 qualified travel agent entries throughout the United States and Canada. Marie White of Online Vacation Center (OVC) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was today announced as the winner by Torstein Hagen, Chairman of Viking Cruises.

“We at Viking thank you for your loyalty and continuing support as we celebrate our 20th anniversary in 2017,” said Hagen. “In the last two decades, travel agents like you have helped us launch more ships and win more awards than any other cruise line. This is our way of showing our appreciation and to provide inspiration for the decades to come.”

OVC is a Platinum Circle Agency for Viking – one of the company’s top accounts. During the check presentation, Hagen also thanked OVC’s Director, Chairman and CEO Ed Rudner, as well OVC Director and President Stephen Rudner and the entire OVC management team for their many contributions during Viking’s 20 years of industry leadership.

Although there was only one $1 million winner of the Challenge, all travel agents can earn as much as $1 million in annual commission by booking 1.5 river cruises (or one ocean cruise) per day with Viking. For additional information, travel agents should contact their Viking Director of Business Development or visit the Viking Travel Agent Portal at www.myvikingjourney.com/agent
