Uniglobe Travel Center Recognized and Advocating the Agency Community

 

October 11, 2016 – Uniglobe Travel Center (UTC) was recently recognized by Carnival Cruise Lines as the Western Regional Partner of the year.

 

CCL Vice President – U.S. Field Sales, Mike Julius stated: “We are extremely proud to call UTC our Western Regional Partner of the Year in 2016!  Betsy and her team exemplify professionalism and dedication to our industry.  It’s Partners like UTC that truly live by, “Together We’re Better”!

 

Advocating for the Agency Community

Concurrent with the Line’s recognition was the announcement of UTC’s Vice President, Betsy Geiser, CTA, appointment as a Director at Large for the American Society of Travel Agents, ASTA.

 

Uniglobe International Chairman U. Gary Charlwood remarked: “Any industry Body MUST have one voice that represents it and that voice in the travel Industry can ONLY be ASTA; it’s the most representative of the field. As a previous member of the Executive Committee, and the founding chair of the ASTA Corporate Advisory Council (the CAC), I stand steadfastly behind this view. We are proud to have one of our key executives Betsy Geiser be nominated to the Board of Directors, she will serve the industry well.”

 

Geiser stated… “It is a tremendous privilege to represent UTC and the travel agency community as an ASTA Director. Our Community is poised to deliver unparalleled levels of value and customer satisfaction. The Association has initiatives in place and in development to further our collective, unified voice.”

 

Betsy serves on the OC ASTA Chapter Board as Past President, Professional Association of Travel Hosts (PATH) as VP, she is on the Vacation.com Advisory Board as well as the Advisory Board for Globus, Classic Vacations, Travel Impressions and CLIA.
