Seattle, WA, August 13, 2019 UnCruise Adventures, a small-ship adventure cruise line, announces theme cruisesfor the 2020 sailing season. Six ships offer themed departures on a variety of topics including birding, photography, wine and culinary, kids and families, and insider departures. Theme cruises provide added value and unequaled access to industry experts at no extra cost.

Four birding cruises, three photography cruises, seven wine and culinary cruises, two family departures, and ten Insiders cruises comprise the theme schedule. Theme cruises will be offered in Alaska, Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama, and the Columbia and Snake Rivers.

Each themed cruise welcomes curious guests and novices while providing rich, hands-on guidance for those interested in deeper learning. Hosts are passionate about their field and are eager to share their wisdom through experiential learning on and off the ship. Themed departures aim to enhance the pursuit of discovery and learning woven throughout every UnCruise.

Select Alaska departures will host destination Insiders with an advanced knowledge of the area, its culture and its natural history. New for 2020, Insiders will also be on board for two-week sailings from Juneau to Seattle, providing interpretation and acumen through Alaska’s Inside Passage and the San Juan Islands. As part of the Insiders series, UnCruise CEO Dan Blanchard and Loyalty Manager Naomi Sture will also host a special “UnCruise Insiders” departure in Alaska celebrating the vibrant community of returning guests.

Family-focused departures allow for dedicated kid-friendly activities and family fun in the outdoor playgrounds of Southeast Alaska and Mexico. On board the Wilderness Discoverer and Safari Endeavour, UnCruise youth-adventurist guide Erin Kirkland will lead the fun, inspiring young passengers with outdoor activities, games and interpretation.

“Guest experts add to the experience of cruising by small ship,” said UnCruise Adventures CEO Dan Blanchard. “It’s an extra opportunity to learn even more about the places we’re exploring and interact with hand-picked experts who are deeply connected to that area or topic.”

UnCruise Adventures’ fleet of boutique yachts and small ships carry 22-90 guests on adventure cruises in remote and scenic parts of the world. All adventure activities and shore excursions are included.
