As Travel Institute Closing 2021—along with our own holiday gifts for friends and family—our team at The Travel Institute is grateful for the collective progress our industry has made in moving past the pandemic.

As we all learn to live, work, and travel in the new normal, The Travel Institute has maintained strong momentum for content development, most recently updating our Caribbean, Italy, and Mexico destination courses and migrating them to our interactive, e-Learning platform. This marks the final migration of all courses at The Travel Institute to our best-practices learning experience, which has demonstrated success in higher engagement and increased retention.

Travel agents are the face of our industry and a cornerstone of its success. More successful when they are educated, agents need foundational and advanced training to build their capabilities and confidence. To ensure access to this education, our Season of Savings is back with 20% off Premium Access, Niche and Destination courses, TTI Certification, and TRIPKIT introductory training through December. Consider the gift of education for yourself, a colleague, or your entire team:

  • Niche and Destination Market travel is in high demand. We started 2021 with our Wellness course and then launched Honeymoons and Destination Weddings—both key markets now. Our destination expertise ranges from North America to Europe, Mexico and beyond. Critical business skills are also covered to help identify and qualify the right clients while matching itineraries and attractions to a traveler’s lifestyle and interests.
  • Our Premium Access online library is sometimes referred to as our best-kept secret because it provides access to all of our Niche and Destination courses, including testing and specialist designations. In addition, it unlocks unlimited learning with our “Ted Talk-style” recorded sessions, business and financial planning courses, white papers on critical industry topics, product discounts, and more.
  • Certification: Get your Certified Travel Associate, CTA®, Certified Travel Counselor, CTC®, or Certified Travel Industry Executive, CTIE® credentials and join nearly 27,000 alumni who have benefitted from the practical and professional skills and knowledge certification provides while also distinguishing yourself as a true travel professional, which has never been more important.
  • TRIPKIT: The TRIPKIT curriculum packs the equivalent of one year of college into a 19-lesson, self-paced timeline with an emphasis on real-world experiences. It is designed to provide agents across North America with a solid foundation on critical skills all travel professionals need to be successful.

While we have come to expect the unexpected over the past 20+ months, we are hopeful for a better 2022 given both recent travel forecasts and travel levels recently nearing pre-pandemic numbers. Our goal is to create true travel professionals who elevate consumer conversations and ensure high-end service. We hope you share that goal and invite you to keep learning always with The Travel Institute!

Safe Travels & Cheers to a Great 2022,

Diane Petras, CTIE, president, The Travel Institute
