The Travel Corporation Reaffirms Trade-Centric Commitment with the Introduction of Innovative Online Travel Portal

ANAHEIM, Calif., Jan. 16, 2018 – The Travel Corporation (TTC) has reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to its valued travel agent partners with the creation of a robust new online initiative, My Travel Portal (MTP). An industry first in guided vacations and river cruising, MTP provides agents and guests with a simplified solution for delivering nothing but the best service. From providing the highest duty of care to being able to effortlessly personalize trips, everything is taken care of within the TTC brands’ online portals. MTP affords agents extra hours in their lives, knowing there’s a simple go-to place for guests that holds all the necessary information for their travel plans within the family-owned, international travel group. It also hosts an e-documentation portal, saving both time and trees.

MTP’s streamlined offering means less hassle for agents and their clients alike. From having the guests’ emergency contact details on hand in the event of unforeseen circumstances, to obtaining personal preferences to ensure a trip is tailored to their specific tastes, MTP facilitates assistance with vacation plans in one centralized and convenient platform. Addressing pre-trip, on-trip and post-trip needs, the portal is an invaluable resource for guests wishing to view itineraries on their mobile devices rather than in paper format, seamlessly share vacation snaps on social media, take trip notes in their journal and chat with their Travel Director and fellow travelers, and provide overall peace of mind.

Agents can effortlessly put the “care” back into “customer care” by simply adding client contact details and completing registration within ‘Manage My Booking’ (MMB) – an agent portal found on each brand’s travel agent website. A traveler’s completed registration in MMB or MTP enables a seamless experience when in destination: from saving time at border crossings and hotel check-ins, to helping save the planet with e-documentation instead of paper versions being issued. TTC has also partnered with a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation, One Tree Planted, pledging to plant a tree for every guest who opts out of printed travel documents. The travel brand has already committed to the reforestation of several hundred acres of barren and devastated land.

Commenting on the My Travel Portal (MTP) launch and e-documentation implementation across the portfolio, TTC’s Chief Executive Brett Tollman said, “We are proud to announce our latest innovative initiative, My Travel Portal, which has been carefully crafted with our agent partners in mind. At TTC, we take immense pride in the trust and valuable relationships we have built across the industry globally and we continually strive to equip agents with the best tools for success. Given that sustainable tourism practices are a cornerstone of what we stand for at TTC, we are delighted to confirm our roll-out of e-documentation and partnership with One Tree Planted, who share our vision for preserving the environment for future generations. With the help of all those who opt out of paper documents, we will be able to make a significant impact. We thank our partners in advance for all that they will do to educate their clients on the power of travel for good.”

For initial launch, the singular platform encompasses Trafalgar, Contiki, and CostSaver. Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold, U by Uniworld and Uniworld will follow shortly thereafter this year, and then additional brands from the TTC portfolio will be added to MTP in due course.
