The Travel Corporation Brands Earn Top Honors in Travel + Leisure’s ‘World’s Best’ Awards

 

DELRAY BEACH, Fla., July 12, 2017The Travel Corporation (TTC) is pleased to announce that three of its brands earned top honors in Travel + Leisure’s coveted World’s Best Awards 2017. The Red Carnation Hotel Collection, Lion World Travel and Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection were all voted into top positions by Travel + Leisure readers, garnering 17 total awards in eight categories, including a No. 1 placement, and four spots on the ‘Top 100 Hotels in the World’ list.

 

Red Carnation properties proudly dominated the ‘Top 10 Hotels in London’ category, winning five of the 10 spots. Hotel 41, the flagship, five-star property, earned the No. 1 position for the second consecutive year while The Milestone Hotel came in at No. 2 on the list, The Egerton House Hotel at No. 3, The Chesterfield Mayfair at No. 6, and The Rubens at the Palace at No. 9.

 

‘41,’ The Milestone and The Egerton also won the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 spots, respectively, in the ‘Top 15 City Hotels in Europe’ category, and the three hotels earned the No. 55, No. 56, and No. 72 spots in the ‘Top 100 Hotels in the World’ category.

 

Other Red Carnation winners include Ireland’s Ashford Castle, which picked up the No. 59 spot on the ‘Top 100 Hotels in the World’ list, the No. 2 spot in the ‘Top Resort Hotels in the UK and Ireland’ category, and the No. 6 spot in the ‘Top 15 Resort Hotels in Europe’ category. The Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa in Cape Town rounds out the list, earning the No. 2 place in the ‘Top City Hotels in Africa’ category.
