Avoya Travel Announces Technology and Commission Enhancements at Successful 2024 Conference

Avoya Celebrates Historic Growth, Evolutions in Technology, and New Premier Commission Program at Annual Event

 

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. – October 16, 2024 – Avoya Travel®, one of the travel industry’s most innovative brands, is celebrating the success of its 2024 Avoya Travel Conference, which took place onboard the Norwegian Joy from September 25 – October 2. The annual conference was Avoya’s largest ever, with over 550 attendees. The event was applauded by both travel advisor and supplier attendees for its networking and collaboration opportunities, keynote speeches and workshops, relationship-building social events, and Avoya’s many innovative announcements regarding technology advancements and enhancements to the platform’s commission structure.

 

 

The following are some of the notable announcements made by Avoya at the conference:

  • Independent Agencies in the Avoya Travel Network™ earnings are soaring again after last year’s record payouts. In 2024, the average Independent Agency will see 32% more commissions earned year over year while participants in the company’s new Elite 100 program saw a jaw-dropping 44% increase in commissions earned.
  • The launch of its proprietary consumer booking engine for travel advisors’ customers and introduction of Avoya Live Bookings™, which are Avoya customers that book online and are handed out to Independent Advisors including a generous share of the commission for the already completed sale.
  • The launch of Avoya’s Premier Commission™ Program that will pay advisors up to 65% more commissions on Avoya Traveler bookings in 2025.
  • Several updates to the company’s Agent Power™ app suite, including further development of price tracking, increased integration of flight and hotel bookings, and first-of-its-kind connectivity of resort bookings with leading wholesalers.
  • Historic growth of the Avoya Network to over 2,100 total advisors and an industry-leading support staff-to-advisor ratio that will boast over 50,000 support requests resolved by year’s end.
  • Avoya hosted over 30 in-person and virtual events in 2024 and will follow up that success with another year of varied events designed to bring the Network together with Preferred Partners in 2025.

Networking opportunities onboard included one-on-one appointments between Independent Agencies and suppliers, cocktail parties, and themed events like Diamond Lights & City Dreams and a 1960’s night in commemoration of Avoya celebrating 60 years in the travel industry. The Avoya Flowerfly Award, given to an Independent Agency that displays outstanding integrity, professionalism, and character acting as an ambassador for Avoya, was presented to David and Cindy Locke, Co-Owners of Seize the Seas, an Independent Agency in the Avoya Network.
