Aviemore, Scotland. November 20, 2019: Small group adventure providers Wilderness Scotland and Wilderness Ireland are extending their marine conservation efforts to this year’s Black Friday offer. Every traveler who books a trip between now and December 2, 2019 will receive a free Haglöfs Mid Hood jacket – valued at $210 USD – made from discarded fishing nets, called “ghost nets”.
The sustainable and functional Swedish-designed jackets come in women’s Khione or men’s Nengal styles, providing an essential layer to protect travelers from the elements on any of Wilderness Scotland and Wilderness Ireland’s new 2020 outdoor adventures, including mountain biking through the Cairngorms National Park, walking the beaches of England’s Northumberland National Park and Lake District, or hiking the National Parks of Ireland.
This offer is intrinsically linked with the travel specialist’s marine-conservation efforts, having invested in a SeaBin earlier this year to remove garbage, pollutants and plastics from Mallaig Harbour, on the West Coast of Scotland where adventures including the Sailing and Walking holidays and Family Sea Kayaking depart from. The Sea Bin collects approximately 1.4 tonnes of these harmful materials over a 12-month period.
The Black Friday offer is valid on all trips whether group tours, tailor made or private departures. Travelers who book anytime between now and 17:30 GMT on Monday, December 2, 2019 will be sent the Mid Hood in the mail prior to their departure. For more information, visit Wilderness Ireland and Wilderness Scotland. Terms and conditions apply.
