Sky Bird Travel and Tours Announces New Roles

 

July 10th, 2017 – Sky Bird Group is pleased to announce a number of key promotions to continue the excellent service our customers and partners have come to expect. Effective July 1, 2017, Arvin Shah, Founder and current President of Sky Bird Group, became Chairman of the company. Also on July 1st, three longtime Sky Bird leaders assumed expanded roles with the organization. Akshay Shah became CEO of Sky Bird Group while Raj Patel moved into the Chief Operating Officer role. In addition, John Burbidge has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer. Each of these leaders have more than twenty years of service with Sky Bird.

 

In addition, Rupesh Velji has been named Director of Sales for the West Region and Umesh Patel has been named Director of Sales for the Central Region.

 

In regards to the company’s new hierarchy, Arvin Shah expressed his gratitude and optimism for the future. “I have the highest respect and appreciation for our leadership team,” he said. “I am grateful for their loyalty and hard work over the years and for the loyalty and hard work of all our team members. I have been honored to serve as Sky Bird’s leader for more than forty years and look forward to continuing to provide strategic leadership and support to our executive team.”
