Scenic Group Canada Appoints New General Manager of Sales and a New Brand Manager of Ocean Products

Vancouver, March 27, 2019 – Scenic Group Canada, parent organization of award-winning cruise companies Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, Scenic Eclipse and Emerald Waterways, has announced the hiring of Juna Ueda as General Manager – Canada Sales, and Amanda McGregor as Brand Manager for Ocean Products. Both positions will work out of the company’s Vancouver office and will report directly to Lisa McCaskill, vp sales & marketing Canada, The Scenic Group.

 

“Juna is a veteran with 23 years in the travel industry and is a results-driven business builder and a consistent achiever of high results,” states McCaskill. “Juna is described as a people leader with a strong belief in a company driven by its people and will be focused on client satisfaction, strategic business plans and client loyalty.”

 

Juna worked for Rocky Mountaineer as national sales manager and was responsible for strategic planning and execution of Canadian sales for all trade channels. Most recently, in the position as manager, sales development, his responsibilities included sourcing new business in multiple global markets including MICE opportunities in North America. As the new brand manager for ocean products, currently the company’s new ultra-luxury Scenic Eclipse launching in August 2019, Amanda brings a well-rounded consumer marketing skill set, including ocean cruise experience. “Amanda has a strong business acumen and is trade and customer-focused,” offers McCaskill. “Her experience working on COOP marketing efforts and agent incentives and training will be integral to the marketing of the Scenic Eclipse and future sister ships to our Canadian travel partners and clients.”

 

Amanda’s most recent position was with Expedia Group as cruise account manager, Global Cruise Supply, working directly with cruise suppliers to ensure maximum ROI and to drive co-op marketing initiatives for all online and retail channels that sell cruise. Prior to this, she worked at Great Canadian Casinos, as a marketing specialist/coordinator for three different properties. Amanda can be reached at Amanda.McGregor@scenic.ca.
