Riviera Travel Sets Sail for the 2026 River Cruise Season

New Ships, Solo Itineraries, and Product Enhancements Ring in the Start of the 2026 Season

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – (March 27, 2026) – Riviera Travel, the leader in ultra-premium river cruise, ocean yachts, and land global travel for more than 40 years, has officially kicked off its highly anticipated 2026 river cruise season. Riviera is welcoming the 2026 season with a new Radiance-class vessel, increased solo departures, and enhancements designed to make the experience even more accessible and appealing to North American travelers.

“After doubling our passenger numbers from 2024 to 2025 and seeing growth of over 200 percent in just the first three months of 2026, we’re optimistic about the year ahead,” said Stuart Milan, President of North America for Riviera Travel. “With more than 97 percent of our business coming through travel advisors, we’ve incorporated their feedback, and those of our North American guests, into onboard enhancements we know will resonate.”

Riviera Travel remains committed to delivering an ultra-premium product and expectational experiences to the North American market with just under 200 departures planned throughout the season. Later this year, this cruise line will introduce the third ship in its innovative fleet of Radiance-class vessels, Riviera Resplendence. Saling the Rhine, Moselle, and Danube rivers, the vessel will feature three restaurants and some of the largest suites offered to date.

In tandem with the launch of the 2026 season, Rivier Travel has recently announced new ships, itineraries, and departures set to sail in 2027. Of these new announcements, the spotlight is on the brand’s commitment to solo travelers. In 2027, the cruise line will welcome the world’s first solo-dedicated river cruise vessel, George Elliot, providing solo travelers with a one-of-a-kind experience on Europe’s rivers.

As the brand has continued to adapt its products to serve the U.S. market, many onboard enhancements have been made that can be enjoyed starting this season. Riviera Travel has added North American breakfast items to its menus, such as pancakes, waffles, and French toast, as well as liquors like tequila and popular cocktails like Margaritas and Martinis. The cruise line has also implemented both 12- and 24-hour time formats onboard and temperature formats in both Fahrenheit and Celsius degrees – all aiming to provide a seamless experience for U.S. passengers.

The brand also unveiled its new 2027 festive departures that are now on sale – including new additions such as Christmas on the Danube River Cruise for Solo Travelers and New Year on the Danube River Cruise for Solo Travelers. Riviera’s newest grand tour, A Taste of Italy & The Blue Danube, is also available to book now for departures sailing in 2027.

While inventory is limited, in addition to all 2026 departures, new 2027 and select 2028 river cruise itineraries are now available to book online. Full details and pricing can be found at rivieratravel.com
