Riviera Travel River Cruises Reports Significant Surge in Bookings, Solo Departures & Group Sales

Travel Advisor Bookings Drive Business Growth as Brand is Poised to Exceed 100 Percent YOY Sales

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – (October 19, 2026) – Riviera Travel River Cruises, a leader in ultra-premium river cruising, ocean yachts, and global land travel for over 40 years, continues to see significant interest in its product in the North American market, announcing today it is on track to exceed 100 percent year-over-year growth for the second consecutive year.

As of September 2026, Rivera Travel River Cruises’ North American business was up 92 percent year-over-year, positioning the brand to exceed 100 percent by the year’s end. And, as Riviera prepares to launch the world’s first dedicated solo cruise ship, the company shared it has more than doubled its YOY solo bookings and demand for solo departures is up 80 percent from 2025. Group bookings have emerged as the fastest-growing segment for Riviera, in large part thanks to its generous eighth guest sails free promotion.

A more detailed breakdown of the numbers shows that Riviera Travel River Cruises’ Rhine and Moselle bookings are up 200 percent year-over-year. Underscoring travelers’ interest in new and emerging exotic markets, bookings for the brand’s Mekong River itinerary, which was introduced last year, are up 300 percent.

“When we rebranded in 2025, we had the vision of making Riviera Travel River Cruises a household name, one that would be known for delivering a truly exceptional product and experience,” said Stuart Milan, president of North America for Riviera Travel River Cruises. “We are overjoyed to be celebrating another banner year in 2026 and excited to continue the mission in 2027, welcoming more North Americans onboard our ships than ever before and expanding our offerings in some very special ways.”

A driving factor behind Riviera Travel River Cruises explosive North American growth is the robust relationships the cruise line has built with its travel partners. Travel advisor bookings have increased significantly, signaling strengthened trust and engagement as more advisors are making their first booking with Riviera. As of September 2026, more than 3,000 travel advisors have registered for the company’s training program, Riviera Explorer, which recently celebrated its first anniversary. Over the last year, more than 55,000 training modules have been completed with more than 600 graduates.

“Our success this over the last two years is a testament to our dedicated team and the valuable relationships we have continued to build with our travel advisor partners, who believe in our product and have been a driving force in reaching North American travelers,” said Milan.

Looking ahead to 2027, Riviera Travel River Cruises has several new initiatives on the horizon, including the transformation of George Elliot into the world’s first dedicated solo ship and expansion into Southeast Asia with its Vietnam, Cambodia and Mekong River Cruise itinerary. The brand also recently announced the launch of its 2028 sales and new Riviera Moment collection, which features even more immersive, unique river cruise experiences tailored to North American travelers.
