RateHawk Reveals Easter Travel Trends in the USA

April 14, 2025 – RateHawk, a B2B online system for booking hotels, air tickets, and transfers, reports the most popular destinations booked by American travel agents for the Easter holiday from April 12, 2025 till April 27, 2025. The company unveils the growing interest in European destinations among American travelers.

Traditionally, Easter breaks have seen a significant share of U.S. travelers opting for domestic destinations. Las Vegas, Orlando and New York are the top choices for Americans who plan to spend spring holidays within the country.

The top 10 outbound destinations this Easter include Mexico, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, the Dominican Republic, the United Kingdom, Tunisia, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates. The average transaction value for accommodation bookings is $1059, with an average stay of three nights.

As American travelers plan their Easter holidays in Europe, many prefer city trips to cultural centres like Munich, Rome, Venice, Florence, Lisbon, Barcelona, Paris, and London. Accommodation bookings in European destinations have increased by 5 percentage points compared to 2024. This growth trend is expected to continue, fueled by enhanced transatlantic connectivity with new flights launching in summer 2025.

Travelers taking advantage of the high season by choosing popular beach resorts opt for Cancun and Playa Mujeres (Mexico), Bavaro (the Dominican Republic), Sousse (Tunisia) and Dubai (UAE).

Ronald Fenska, Regional Director of RateHawk in North America, commented: “We’re seeing a clear trend: American travelers are more eager than ever to take long-haul international trips. At RateHawk, we’ve been growing quickly in North America, and a big part of that is because travel agents are actively looking for a one-stop shop — a tool that makes it easy to access a huge range of inventory without jumping between platforms.
