Propellic's hotel SEO expert reveals how AI decides which hotels to recommend: a confidence score
Austin, Texas, July 9, 2026 – Propellic, a full-service travel marketing agency, will host a live webinar on July 16 breaking down how AI is reshaping hotel discovery and what hotel marketers can do about it. Hotel SEO and GEO best practices for 2026 takes place at 10am Central Time and is free to attend.
The session addresses a shift already underway across the travel industry. Travelers are increasingly asking AI tools for hotel recommendations instead of searching a traditional results page, and booking the answer they’re given. Propellic’s guide finds that AI models run a confidence score on each hotel, cross-referencing on-site claims against outside sources like Reddit, TripAdvisor, and press coverage before deciding who to recommend.
The webinar will be led by Brennen Bliss, Founder and CEO of Propellic, and Javier Hernandez, Propellic’s Senior SEO Manager, who personally researched and compiled the findings behind the session. Together they’ll cover how AI scores a hotel using owned content and earned signals across the web, the fastest fixes hotels are still missing, and seven focus areas ranging from technical SEO to local search and analytics. The session closes with a live question and answer segment.
The webinar draws on Propellic’s newly published Hotel SEO & AI Search Guide 2026, available now at https://hotel-seo-and-geo-guide-2026.propellic.com/. Hernandez compiled findings across hotels in Propellic’s client portfolio into four sections, nine insights, seven deep-dive categories covering exactly what makes AI trust a hotel enough to recommend it.
Propellic’s guide covers this in depth, and the webinar will walk through the findings live, such as:
“Traditional travelers used to scroll through pages of blue links to book a hotel room. Today, they increasingly ask AI for a recommendation and book the answer,” said Brennen Bliss, founder and CEO of Propellic. “Becoming part of that recommendation is no longer optional. The alternative is losing direct bookings before a guest ever reaches your site.”
“AI doesn’t rank a hotel, it decides whether to trust it enough to recommend it,” said Javier Hernandez, senior SEO manager at Propellic. “This session breaks down exactly how that trust gets built, and the fixes most hotels are still missing.”
