Professional Association of Travel Hosts (PATH) Announces Ninth Annual Host Agency Symposium

Taking Place August 19-20 at Washington, D.C. Hilton, PATH Conference to Welcome Record-Setting Number of Hosts for Networking Sessions, Interactive Panels, Social Events & More

Boca Raton, FL (July 31, 2018) – Professional Association of Travel Hosts, Inc. (PATH), the only travel industry association with an exclusive membership of the leading top U.S. host agencies, today announced that it will host its ninth annual symposium from August 19-20, 2018 at the Washington, D.C. Hilton. The event is expected to set attendance records as it will be co-aligned with, and immediately preceding, the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA)’s Global Convention.

“This symposium is the chance for host agencies to come together each year, discussing industry issues and sharing best practices,” said Anita Pagliasso, president of PATH. “Host agencies face unique challenges and this is a way for them to gather insight from each other, participating in brainstorming sessions and interactive panels with leading supplier executives to address common concerns.”

The 2018 PATH event will gather representatives from host agencies and suppliers for a dialogue about how to work most effectively together, maximizing success.  Host-to-host only networking sessions will be offered to address the challenges facing host agencies, as well as interactive panels that will cover travel insurance, fraud protection, working with independent contractors and other topics.

The symposium will kick off Sunday, August 19 at 1 p.m. with a meeting for PATH host agency members only. Then, all host agencies, including both PATH members and non-members, can enjoy activities taking place Monday, August 20, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The event will conclude with a networking dinner for suppliers and Path member host agencies.

ASTA’s Global Convention will take place on Tuesday, August 21-23, immediately following the PATH symposium. Separate registration is required to attend the event.

The registration fee for PATH members is $175 and $275 for non-PATH members. For suppliers, the registration fee is $495 and $195 for second person suppliers.

About Professional Association of Travel Hosts, Inc. (PATH):

Professional Association of Travel Hosts, Inc. (PATH) is the only travel industry association with a membership comprised of the leading top U.S. Host Agencies. The concept of the Host Agency has grown significantly over the years flourishing into an array of business models that have confused what a Host Agency truly is. PATH was formed to establish Host Agency operating standards with strict enforcement among its qualifying Host Agency members. Travel agent professionals looking for the gold standard among host agencies should look no farther than from the list of PATH members.
