FAIRFAX, Va., June 15, 2018 — Playa Hotels & Resorts (NASDAQ:PLYA) (“Playa”) the owner, operator and developer of all-inclusive resorts for brands such as Hyatt, Hilton, Jewel Resorts and Panama Jack Resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean, was honored last night at one of the travel industry’s top events – the 2018 TravelAge West WAVE Awards.

This annual black-tie gala brings together leaders in the hospitality industry to award product innovation, performance and for attaining high guest satisfaction ratings throughout the previous calendar year. The award winners, who are considered the “best of the best” in the travel industry, undergo stringent product analysis, on-site visits, travel agent surveys and online research to be considered for nomination. Nominees are then selected via ballot submitted by certified travel agents throughout the Western United States.
