Perth’s Black Truffle Delicacies Of Crystal’s ‘Culinary Journeys’ Video Series

MIAMI, April 30, 2019 – Crystal Cruises has released the latest episode of its video series “Crystal Cruises Presents: A Culinary Journey Hosted by Jon Ashton,” this time exploring the creative iterations of Périgord black truffles in Perth, Australia. While the truffles are most often associated with France and Italy, Western Australia is one of the world’s largest producers of the luxurious ingredient. In Episode 5, Chef Jon Ashton visits several Perth eateries to learn and gain inspiration from the various ways local chefs incorporate the truffles into their menus.

 

Back aboard Crystal Serenity, Chef Ashton and Alfred Napotnik – Chef de Cuisine of the ship’s Italian specialty restaurant Prego – collaborate to create a classic gnocchi and black truffle dish.
