Setting Sail for Adventure with Nexion Travel Group!

Not to state the obvious, but different types of travel have always appealed to different people. Traditionally, taking a cruise has been seen as the sort of trip that appeals mostly to specific demographics (retirees, newlyweds, etc.), but that’s changing. Increasingly, cruises are beginning to appeal to a more diverse crowd, and for good reason. For new travel advisors looking to find their niche, specializing in cruise planning is a move worth considering.

When planning any sort of land/air-based travel, there are various components that must be seamlessly connected. Flights, hotels, the transportation to-and-from, and any tours or excursions your clients might want to take. One of the clearest benefits to cruising is that it combines all of these elements into one experience.

Cruise ships are floating microcosms of experience, offering a unique blend of convenience and exploration. By immersing yourself in the intricacies of different cruise lines, itineraries, and ship amenities, you’ll be well equipped to guide your clients through the nearly limitless array of exceptional journeys that cruising provides.

Picture this – your clients arrive, unpack once, then let the experience come to them. With cruising, you can effortlessly hop from one destination to another without the hassle of constant packing and repacking, or having to worry about flight delays. Once your clients arrive, they’re ready to indulge in all the comforts and amenities the ship has to offer.

Cruises generally offer a more streamlined and cost-effective way to travel compared to traditional land-based vacations, as meals, entertainment, and transportation are included. This gives the travelers a degree of autonomy they might not normally experience. Once they’re on board and have their excursions booked, they’re free to relax and enjoy their vacation one day at a time.

Another benefit to cruising is the range of destinations offered. Whether it’s a relaxing ocean cruise to the Caribbean, an historic river cruise through Europe, or a sightseeing trip around Japan, cruise experiences are as diverse as the clientele who seek them.

Whatever the destination, entertainment is rarely hard to find on a cruise. From Broadway-style shows to cooking classes, spa treatments to rock climbing, glassblowing to live music, cruise ships are a floating playground of activities catering to a broad range of interests.

In addition to the entertainment, cruisers should prepare their palate for a culinary journey that’s as much a part of the experience as anything else. Cruises are renowned for their varied dining options, featuring everything from gourmet restaurants to casual eateries, all curated by world-class chefs. If a three-course meal in the lavish dining hall isn’t your cup of tea, simply head over to the all-hours buffet or any one of the specialty restaurants on board.

With all these perks, it’s easy to see why cruise planning is quickly becoming a more popular niche among travel professionals. So, if you think cruising might appeal to you and your client base, now is the time to learn more and start cultivating that niche. Remember, even with a more streamlined type of travel like cruising, you’re still the professional advisor who can make or break a great experience. Cruising today is not the same as it was 20 years ago, and if the world at large is any indicator, cruising may continue to change and evolve with time. So, the time to start honing your expertise is right now.
